Sarah was the perfect hostess. She was immediately responsive and provided a lot of information right away. She was eager to know how she could help get the place ready for me. It ended up being a great place to stay for me, my twin 7-year-olds, and my elderly father. The apartment is newly renovated and immaculate, despite an unassuming and not-newly-renovated front door. It is on its way to some day becoming an in-home daycare, so the walls in the spacious common areas are covered with cartoon decals, which adds a little hilarity to the place. The location is convenient, 3 blocks away from the R train and close to lots of bodega-type stores. My suburban children were unnerved by the graffiti on the walls of the Brooklyn neighborhood, but I thought it was on balance pretty friendly. Brooklyn is just a gritty place. There was nighttime street noise and you would have to appreciate the quaintness of feeling the subway rumble underfoot. But the Colombian cafe across the street provided us with an overabundance of fresh croissants and Mexican hot chocolate. I found parking just a block away and we just left our car in one spot for three days. The brand-new Ikea duvets were like clouds. You just can't get a better deal for a 4-person family in a 2-bedroom space in New York City. I would definitely stay here again.

Four of us stayed for two nights during the week. The apartment was very clean and the beds were all comfortable! The pictures actually don't do the place justice. It's a lot brighter and cleaner in person. The apartment itself is a bit of a trek from the Midtown Manhattan but if you can use the subway (which Sarah was so helpful with), it's still a bang for the bucks we paid. The space is big. The rooms have installed a/c in the windows so it can get a bit noisy but nothing that we couldn't handle and once we slept, it didn't bother us at all. Lots of awesome sunshine that came in through the windows in the morning which we loved. The apartment seems to be on top of the subway so there sometimes is some rumbling but again, for the price paid, it's nothing we hated. We had a few things that we needed and Sarah was an amazing host that lives next door. She checked up on us and gave us everything that we needed! Sarah is very fast with her responses before, during and after the stay. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

During our stay Sarah was fantastic and anything we needed she was happy to help with. She offered great advice on using the subway, places to eat and shops we could visit for supplies. The location was great although a little noisy as the apartment is right above the subway. The beds where comfortable and the apartment was fairly clean. Brooklyn was a great places to stay as it easy to get to Manhattan on the subway as well as has lots of amazing local restaurants! Thank you Sarah for being a great host!
