The space

Hand hewn log cabin that has many original features. A bright and airy space surrounded by trees, but also located within the village of Nakusp.
There are lots of shaded areas to sit and read a book as well as some nice sunny spots too. There is a fire pit for you to enjoy, outdoor picnic table and deck chairs to sit and enjoy your glass of wine. Hepworth Log Cabin can be found online at lacabanebc

Guest access

You have access to all areas of the property, plenty of parking even for your boat.

Interaction with guests

The cabin is all ready for your winter wonderland getaway, the log burning fire is all ready for you to enjoy, with a full supply of pre-chopped wood just to make it that much easier. These are the days you want to spend at the natural hot springs, visit Halcyon, Nakusp Hot Springs, St Leon & Halfway all within 15-30 minutes from the cabin.

The neighbourhood

Our cabin is located up the hill past the Nakusp Hospital, it is very convenient to all the amenities the village has to offer.

Getting around

You can walk around the small village or use your bike.
The village is 1.5 hours including a ferry from Revelstoke. 2.5 hours from Castlegar and Nelson by car.
NOTE the cabin is located within the village of Nakusp, we are not isolated on a large acreage and we do have neighbours nearby. Expect to hear sounds of a small village.

Other things to note

The newly refinished beautiful birch floors are just lovely and we gave them a white wash finish. The floor looks great. The interior has been repainted so the cabin is now fresh and bright for our guests as well as cozy.

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
Check in is anytime after 4PM

No smoking and no pets, the sofa is not to be used as a bed, max 4 adults and 2 kids allowed. If 6 adults want to stay there is an extra fee along with a pre approval and screening. We love our guests to have fun but this cabin is not for the big partiers, our space is to be respected and cared for.
This is a pet free home.

Please note you are in bear country and at certain times of the year we do get some visitors who did not book through Airbnb but they like to rummage through any food left outside, they love the BBQ if there is any meat juice or attractants left on it. They especially love the garbage bin, so try to keep the garbage to a minimum, we suggest freezing any old food and keep it in a well-marked bag in the freezer until you leave, then secure it in the bin as we will be there at 11am to clean up the cabin and remove the garbage.

We do have a pear tree on the property and please help yourself when they are ready to eat, otherwise, we will pick them to reduce the chances of a visitor. Don't let this put you off visiting the area as the chances are minimal when using correct bear aware practices. If you have any concerns please contact me.

Ange's place was perfect for me and my family that came to visit from Saskatchewan. It had everything you needed to settle in. It's very clean and the decor is beautiful. It's close to the main road in Nakusp and a short drive to the Hot Springs. I would recommend Ange's place to anyone that wants to come visit beautiful Nakusp, BC.

Really nice cabin. My only issue was arriving later on and having to start a fire and wait hours for the home to heat up. Otherwise great location and good for family trips.

This cozy cabin was everything we hoped and wished for! It is unique, interesting, comfortable and gorgeous! Communication with Ange was easy and quick, and she was very accommodating. Even after the snow fell multiple days before our arrival, the pathway was cleared and ready for a safe entrance. Highly recommend this lovely cabin.

Response from Ange:
Thank you Danielle for staying at our cabin. It's beautiful in the winter and I hope you enjoyed the wood burning fire. That was a massive amount of snowfall just before your arrival and hopefully you got to enjoy the natural hot pools in the area.

We loved this place. An adorable house with a sweet bunkhouse for extra guests. Ange was also very accommodating with some last minute changes we had to make to our party. A+, highly recommend this place.
