The space
Trelowen is accessed a short walk (20m) from where it is possible to park your car. On walking through the gate there is a small gravelled area where you can sit and enjoy the view and have a BBQ/fire pit. There is also a small shed to hang wet coats or put muddy boots to help dry them before entering.

The newly refurbished property is accessed through french windows directly into the living space. In the open plan living there is a sofa, a log burner and a smart TV and echo dot for your entertainment along with some board games/pack of cards and reading books.

The kitchen is small but has everything you need with a granite worktop, full splashback an integrated under the counter fridge with freezer compartment, a NEF slide and hide oven/grill, a duo induction hob and an integrated microwave. A welcome pack is also provided.

Neighbourhood highlights

Minions is a beautiful rural village on Bodmin Moor in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site. It is the highest village in Cornwall and was a mining village with spectacular historic tin and copper engine house ruins to explore.

The village of Minions has an exceptional licensed Tea Room that does super lunches, homemade cakes and great coffee, also run by Alison alongside the well-stocked village shop. Should you wish to pre order a newspaper or box of supplies prior to your arrival or during your stay this can be arranged through the shop who use local suppliers as much as possible.

There are spectacular walks from your gate as well as wild swimming spots and a plethora of wildlife to enjoy.

There are two pubs within 30 - 40 minutes walking distance. The unique Sterts Theatre is in the nearby village of Upton Cross.

If you like horse riding you can book a trek on the moors at nearby Caradon Hill Trekking and Equestrian Centre. Go to our website, minionsshopandtearoom for more information about Minions and what to do whilst you are here.

I travel a lot for work and pleasure and prefer to stay in places that are not hotels. I love to experience local cuisine, wine and places so staying at AirBnB allows me to do this. I love to talk to people too and get a lot of knowledge speaking with AirBnB owners and other guests.
