The space

The loft is located in the cool and charming Isola / Farini district from which you can enjoy the new stunning view of the Milan skyline and Gae Aulenti square. It is an quit area but full of life as well, where in a few steps there are a lot of amazing bars and good restaurants, supermarkets, bars/café, the Blue Note jazz club, vintage shops and art galleries.
The location is very quiet and is located in a courtyard and it has on the roof its own little private furnished terrace, it is fully equipped! You will find it clean and tidy with fresh linen and towels at your disposal and you will find a welcome surprise for you. Two rooms with a double or king size bed with one bathroom on the ground floor while on the first floor a well equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking, (important: I kindly ask you to wash what you use). The area is very well-served by public transport but you can also walk everywhere easily. Also, at the same floor the living with stunning and terrific historic design pieces.

The apartment is 10 minutes walk from Stazione Garibaldi that is 3 stops from Cadorna Station. From Linate airport, the apartment is 20 minutes away by taxi (about 20 euro) while from Malpensa there's the Malpensa Express which stops directly at Garibaldi or Cadorna railway station. From Orio airport, I suggest you take the bus to Central Station, and from there a taxi (5 min). Check in from 15:00 to 22:00

Leonardo was so helpful, friendly and accommodating, assisting us with great advise of the city, local sites and amenities. The apartment was very clean and modern, well fitted out with a stylish kitchen and bathroom and big wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable and Leonardo was kind enough to go out and buy a small fold-up bed for our 9 year old daughter to sleep on, which fitted snugly into the bedroom. The area itself was laid back, not touristy at all, we felt more like locals and quite privileged to have the opportunity to get an insight into every day life in Milan. The people we met on the street and in the apartment block were very friendly. There are great cafes along the street and shops and deli's for fresh bread and groceries at the end of the street. Within ten minutes walk there were ice cream parlours and cool independent restaurants on a street called Via Porro Lambertenghi. On Sunday there was a really cool market at the top of the street called Wunder Mrkt, selling hand made crafts and vintage clothes, with dj's playing laid back tunes in the background. A major plus for people interested in design is that the apartment is only ten minutes walk from Nilufar Depot (Nina Yashar's world renowned furniture gallery) in Lancetti. Taxi's into the centre of Milan were easy to get and were there within minutes of calling (Leonardo provided us with local taxi numbers), though we also enjoyed walking into the city too during the day time, we reached Castello Sforzesco within 15-20 minutes and the cathedral is around 25-30 minutes walk, on the way to the cathedral it's worth a visit to Via della Spiga, where the shops and boutiques are world class. Leonardo also recommended an area called Brera, which was the perfect place in the city for Al Fresco dining in the evenings. I thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit Milan who prefers to retreat away from the crowds after dark and experience the Milanese way of life away from the tourist filled parts of town. We will most definitely want to stay again next time we visit Milan.
