Located in the center of the city, in one of the most characteristic squares, this chic apartment also has a view to die for: from the colourful rooftops, the old green market, and all the way to the Sava river and the bridges of Belgrade!
What's happening in Belgrade? You can be the first to know if you just look out the window! Down there below you is a city full of people rushing to get to their daily chores or a fun evening out. All the attractions of the Belgrade downtown are right there: the beautiful buildings on Terazije street, Hotel Moskva - one of Belgrade's landmarks, the main square Trg Republike, the pedestrian Knez Mihajlova street, the museums, the bars, the restaurants, the shops... All you need to do is step outside the building, and you will immediately find yourself right in the center of the action!
But remember, the action stays outside, the city noises are not invited into your bedroom. The apartment is on the third floor, far enough from the frenzy so that you can sleep in peace and quiet, but close enough for you to be able to see it from the window. But apart from the immediate surroundings, the window of your bedroom offers a breath-taking view of the city all the way to the furthest bridges of the Sava river. It will fill the spacious bedroom with light and give you energy to start the day. The bathroom is right next to it, and it is equipped with a vast shower.
The living room with a kitchenette is cosy, it offers a comfortable couch for you to relax after a busy day of exploring around the city (or an extra place to sleep, for more guests), a small dining area and a beautiful original (and warm) ceramic tile heater from the 1930s.
We hope you like parquet floors, antique furniture, mixed with mid-century and custom made pieces, completed with modern paintings - because this place is all about that! You can feel the authentic atmosphere of a downtown Belgrade apartment in here. Every detail is carefully chosen to create a unique interior where you can feel at home and in Belgrade at the same time.
If you are not looking just for a place to sleep, but also a place where you can enjoy yourselves all day long, and taste the true flavour of our city, this apartment with a river view is the right place for you!
The bedroom is very spacious, with a solid wood double bed with a nice thick mattress for a good night's rest. Next to the window, you will find a nice grandma-style rocker with a blanket for you to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, or rock yourself to sleep watching the bright city lights reflecting on the river surface. If you prefer, you can also choose the more common way of falling to sleep: watching TV - we have cable channels! We provide clean sheets and blankets for our guests.
In the mornings, you will be pleased to find that you can slip into a relaxing shower right from your bedroom. The bathroom is a 4-piece one with quite a large shower. A set of clean towels will be there for every guest, along with a shower gel, shampoo, soap, and toothpaste. We also provide a hairdryer so you don't need to bring one.
The living area has a sofabed that folds out into a double bed that can comfortably sleep two more guests.
The kitchenette is equipped with a cooker, a microwave oven, a fridge, and an electric kettle, along with all the dishware you may need to prepare a quick meal. Also, you will find the cooking essentials such as: seasonings, oil, vinegar, sugar etc. and basic breakfast ingredients: coffee, tea, biscuits...
In the entrance area, there is quite a large vintage dresser where you can hang your clothes, and a chic art-deco hanger for your coats and hats!
There is free wi-fi in the apartment which you may use as much as you like.
Interaction with guests
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed to the apartment by my lovely mother, Jelena, who will show you around, answer any of your questions, advise you on moving around town, shopping in the area and such. If you have any reasonable special requests, feel free to ask her. She will also leave her number to the guests for emergencies, and will be as quick as possible to respond to any issues that may occur. In addition, you may also write to the host directly through Airbnb.
Other things to note
Please note that there is no elevator in the building, so this accommodation is not suitable for people who might have problems climbing to the third floor.
Before you arrive, let us know at what time you would like to check in, so that we can organize it. Also, let us know if you are going to be more than 30 minutes late.
Remember that smoking is not allowed in the apartment, so please respect this rule! We try not to be rude with our neighbours, so keep your noises on a moderate level after midnight, and don't shout on the stairs at any time of day. You can bring your pets, as long as you keep the place clean.
The guests are kindly asked to take their trash out before they leave.

Hello, my name is Jana and I am an art historian from Belgrade, Serbia. I currently live in Rome, where I work as a tour guide. I've made it my mission in life to make people feel welcome wherever I can! Being constantly in touch with the tourists, and a passionate traveller myself, I believe I know a fair share about what people are looking for when they are choosing a place to stay... So I am sure my guests will feel at home in my lovely central Belgrade apartment, and I hope they will enjoy it as much as I do when I come to visit my family and friends.
I also host guests in two more downtown Belgrade apartments, belonging to my aunts, as they too live abroad.
Furthermore, I am happy to let the guests enjoy the pieces of my art collection that were too big to come to Italy with me!
