The space

Hour house is a little paradise with a wonderful 180 degrees sea view! During the summer evenings you can' enjoy the sea breeze that makes it particularly pleasant. The house is on the 3rd floor of a quiet building and has a large kitchen, a nice leaving room opening onto a large terrace, two double bedrooms, one with twin beds, and a large bathroom. We also have a private parking for 1 car, that's a real strength for Portovenere!

Our house is decorated in a typical Ligurian marine style, and it's ideal for a relaxing holiday... have a dinner watching the fishing boats return to port by the terrance is amazing, but if you prefer just 2 minute by walk you can jump into the center of the country where there are great bars and restaurants.

The city and the train station more close to Portovenere is La Spezia, 20 minutes by car or bus, from which you can reach by train the famous "5 Terre". Portovenere is also the ideal destination for hiking to the 5 Terre.

Guests have access to a ramp for disabled mechanics that allows access to the apartment to anyone.

We like that our guests "feel at home", many of them are back in time from all over the world and some of them have become our friends.

See you there!

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful apartment and would highly recommend staying here. Gian Luca maintained excellent contact throughout and we were warmly welcomed by his father, Tonino, as soon as we arrived. He explained all the amenities and gave us interesting suggestions on the local area. The apartment is fully equipped including a washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer and towels. There is wonderful original artwork on all the walls, we felt so lucky to be able to immerse ourselves in such elegant surroundings. It is spacious with a large balcony which gave us plenty of room to all sit outside and enjoy the ever-changing, breath-taking views of the bay and the island of Palmaria. The apartment is in a perfect location. It is easily accessible from Pisa, the supermarket is at the bottom of the street, and the old town is just around the corner with its interesting history, many lovely restaurants and boat trips to the Cinque Terre and Palmaria. We all fell in love with Portonevere, it is a magical place. We experienced a glimpse of paradise - great food, lovely people and stunning scenery. It was truly a privilege to have stayed in such amazing accommodation. We had a wonderful holiday with unforgettable happy memories. Thank you for everything Gian Luca and Tonino.

To say that I thought I had died and gone to heaven is an understatement. I have been visiting Italy now every year for the past 10 years but Portovenere was simply wonderful. Everything about it ticked my boxes and I cannot wait to return. The Listing was totally accurate and the apartment fantastic. Lovely people, superb scenery and great food. What more can you ask for? We were collected from La Spezia station by the owner's father- a charming gentleman- who then drove us to Portovenere and once there organised dinner for us as a great restaurant where we ended up eating three out of our four nights there. I feel so lucky to have been able to stay there.

We had a wonderful welcome from Gian Luca and his father. They met us and showed us how to get to the apartment and then showed us everything in it and how it all worked. When the WiFi did not work correctly, Gian Luca returned to help us with it, even though it was not a fault with his system. The apartment was extremely well equipped and in a brilliant location. We (2 couples) enjoyed our evenings and our mornings sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbour. Happy to recommend this apartment. Loved our time there.

Gian Luca was a great host and his place exceeded expectations. He and his wife met us at the apartment upon our arrival. He actually helped us park our rental car in the parking lot (spots are small there but Gian Luca was able to easily get our car in). He then helped carry our luggage into the apartment and showed us around. The place is fantastic. The views from the balcony don't do it justice by the pictures on the site. It is an enormous balcony with direct views of the sea. The apartment was comfortable and the AC worked in the bedrooms for the warm evenings. Portovenere itself was magical. I much preferred staying there than in a Cinque Terre town; which appeared to be much, much more touristy. Portovenere had the feel of a small village without actually being one. There were at least fifty restaurants in the area that were within easy walking distance. We never had a bad meal. The people were extremely friendly and the boats and ferries can take you pretty much wherever you want to go. Our highlights included an all day sailing trip out of La Spezia and a pesto making class in one of the Cinque Terre villages. And lots of relaxing in Portovenere. Gian Luca's place was a nice haven to come back to after a day out sightseeing or swimming in the sea. I highly recommend it.

Loved our stay in Portovenere. Great location, stunning views and comfortable accommodations. If driving, a parking space is a major plus for Portovenere given how hilly it is and limited street parking availability. Washing machine was a big plus too. The proximity to all of the restaurants, a supermarket/grocery store, ferries and everything that Portovenere has to offer is unbeatable. Gian Luca was a great host. Always accessible, easy to communicate with and his restaurant and beach recommendations were right on point. Would definitely recommend his apartment and would love to come back:)

I'm Gian Luca. I love travel all around the world with my friends and my girlfriend Susanna. I like stay in private houses because usually i rent mine in Portovenere, Liguria (Italy) and i think it's a cool way to meet people and keep contact all around the world.
