Comfortable space in Saratoga with private back yard, hot tub, and outdoor dining. Walking distance to downtown and a short drive to SPAC or the track. Enjoy relaxing in the shade or barbecuing for friends. Lots of off street parking available.

The space

This small tidy little home was built in the late 1800's with a coach house that had horse stalls installed but never used. While it is on the small side it is cozy and well connected with the self contained upstairs bedrooms and full bath and the downstairs master suite.

Guest access

You are welcome to use any of the space in the house except for the basement which is off limits...(no Frankenstein experiments but low and dark). You also get to use the back yard and front driveway, the hot tub and other elements. By agreement you may also you the rear parking.

Interaction with guests

Generally, I will be available during your rental including welcoming you with a bottle (or two) of my own wine...don't worry, it was made from a vineyard I leased in France for several years and it's very good. You may even want to take a case home!

Other things to note

Washington Street can be busy at times and standing out in it it seems as if the noise would overwhelm the house, but it doesn't. I've lived here for many years and once inside it is quiet and retreat like.

This was a perfect location for exploring downtown in walking distance and a concert at SPAC. Michael had a lovely fruit basket waiting for us as well as some of his wine. We had so many activities we didnt get a chance to try the hot tub or to raid the garden although Michael freely offered use of it! Michael stayed in touch with us the whole time we were there and all in all would recommend this as place to stay and enjoy Saratoga!

Response from Michael:
This was the first time that I wasn't able to do the turnover of the house and relied on a friend to do it. Although I trust this friend we have different standards when it comes to doing the work necessary to make a place as good as it can be. I've taken Anna's comments to heart and have purchased extra towels and linens as well as materials to replace some of the flooring in the bedrooms. It's time for those old carpets to go anyways!

The winning part of the weekend at the Spa. Michael is a tremendous host. Home is quaint but super comfortable for three couples. Fresh, local fruit and Michael's wines were a nice edition. Highly recommend this spot in Satatoga. Walk to downtown nightlife but quiet for some rest afterwards. A definite repeat home on my list.

Michael was a great host. We booked last-minute and Michael had everything ready by the time we arrived. He also gave us a late check-out which was nice since we had our dog with us. The house and property is very charming and well-kept. Short walk to downtown and arts district. Michael had a large fruit basket for us and provided us two bottles of very nice wine from a vineyard he had leased in France. He also had a very nice herb garden in his backyard which he encouraged us to use. Thanks for those nice touches, Michael! We had a great stay.

I'm a bit of a serendipitous free spirit, love travel and have visited 84 countries, mostly for work but i always take time to explore on my own. You never know what you'll find and I've managed to find many things that I've brought back from my travels...quite a lot of which is attitude!
