Elizabeth was most gracious and accommodating with our stay there even though the weather wasn't perfect, the accommodations were. We especially enjoyed playing croquet....Something reminding us of growing up many years ago and also the family time on the back deck was most enjoyable. Thanks

The house is very nice. It was bigger than we expected. Good location being close to everything but still surrounded by nature. We had a great time and want to stay there again.

Since Glacier National is such a large park, we decided to stay on the West side for half our trip and the East side the other half. After seeing how far Whitefish is from the park, and the amount of driving we would have to do, staying 10 miles away (12 minute drive to the West entrance) instead at Elizabeth’s place made much more sense. Less overall driving meant we had more time to enjoy the park, and if you visit in the crowded season, you could sleep a bit longer before having to get up early to secure a Glacier parking spot at one of the many trailheads. Elizabeth was a great host, answering many of my pre-trip planning questions. (Note: we ate at the Belton Grill and also the Three Forks Grille and liked both.) There were a number of convenient supermarkets in Columbia Falls, if you like to make sandwiches and the like for lunch on hikes. (Tip: If you go to Smith’s, get the supermarket’s bonus card and you can save money.) The house is very quiet at night. We sat on the back deck each night and enjoyed the stillness. No need for air conditioning since the temps drop, and there were enough blankets if it got chilly. There is a huge dining room table that could accommodate 14. Kitchen had great appliances. Plenty of hot water for the showers. There are enough rooms and space that a family could spread out and relax after enjoying hiking and rafting nearby. There was haze in the air from some wildfires that had drifted over from Washington/Oregon, but for those, this place would be perfect for star-gazing. The fire pit is about 25 feet outside the lower-level master bedroom. Due to a months-long drought, there was an area-wide campfire restriction. It looks like a fun place to have a fire when allowed. Elizabeth is around if you need her in a cottage nearby, but never intrusive. I enjoyed chatting the first night for a half an hour on our plans for the next 6 days, and she provided additional helpful info. Although cell reception can be spotty (Verizon the best, Sprint no service. ATT iffy), we did exchange texts when I had a couple of questions and she responded quickly. Once you confirm with her, and get the address, I had no problems putting it into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps and finding it. I then set it on my phone and it was easy to find. We hope to be back again one day. Glacier has so many hikes to do, and some worth repeating.

I cannot say enough positive about our stay here. Our hosts were wonderful, offering great advice and suggestions about the park and area. The location is incredible with very easy access to Glacier's West entrance. This was the perfect home base for visiting the park (multiple times a day even) as well as a beautiful, remote destination of its own. We are a family of six and this was a perfect space for us. Highly recommended. Thank you!!!

Elizabeth and Steve were beyond terrific with helping us prepare for our adventure to Montana. We booked about six months in advance so we could have plenty of time to communicate with our hosts. They provided plenty of information to assist us with local venues and activities along with and easy check in due to her late flight arriving to Montana. The directions to the house were spot on and they had all the lights turned on welcoming us home so we didn't have to fumble through the dark. During our stay we checked in with each other about once a day just to make sure everything was working out fine, which it was. Elizabeth and Steve Live in another cabin on the property which gave us the whole house to ourselves. Otherwise we were off on adventures through the national parks throughout most of the day and were only home in the evening for a little bit for dinner some family games and then to bed for another long adventure the next day. The home worked out perfectly with three separate bedroom sleeping areas and two bathrooms. The home has been lovingly kept and maintained over the years and quite clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with every type of cooking need which made it easy for us to cook family meals together. The dining room table is large and six plenty of people for family meals and lots of family games. With the beautiful surroundings and the lovely acreage we spent most of our time on one of the decks and never turn the television on even once. The washer and dryer were a great asset for our family to be able to pack minimally and do a little laundry partway through. The home is centrally located easy to get to the national park along with grocery stores and restaurants and other activities in the area. We didn't have to drive more than 20 minutes to get to anything that we were rushing to do. If you're considering this place as your accommodations, I recommend to book it now because it will be a very popular spot for other travelers and may get reserved before you make your reservations. So stop thinking about it and go ahead and book right now.

My husband and I call both Montana and Vermont home. Owning property in both locations has afforded us opportunities for adventure and quality time with our family! We've put our efforts into making both properties comfortable and inviting for our guests, a place they can call home. As parents of four, and grandparents of four, our focus is on offering a place families feel
they have both the space and comfort they need.
