The property is situated 30 klms inland from great fishing spots of Cervantes and Jurien Bay (24klms). During the wildflower season (Aug- Oct) this is the perfect getaway spot to explore the nearby Mount Lesueur National Park (16 klms) or try your hand at skydiving onto the beautiful white sandy beach, or arrange to go swimming with the friendly sea lions at Jurien Bay.

Seeking a sea change, I moved with my wife and daughter from Perth, to the area in 1997 initially to sell Real Estate in the lovely fishing village of Jurien Bay. But in the back of my mind was the desire to eventually have a tree change. So after discovering this 308 ha of mostly bush paradise, we purchased and moved onto the farm in 2000. I now run an agroforestry enterprise of Maritime pine, Australian native Sandalwood, Broom bush and grow various types of eucalypts for shelter belts and firewood. The farmstay chalet was created initially for volunteers from all over the world under the Willing Workers on Organic Farms or WWOOF program, to live in, while assisting us with the work around the farm. In 2007 a group of like minded carers in the district formed a not for profit wildlife charity known as Loveland For Wildlife Inc., to look after sick, injured and orphaned Australian wildlife. Our farm/sanctuary has been the release site for those mostly kangaroo's ever since. This means that guests can get up close and personal with the kangaroos for a truly fantastic Aussie experience. I love to travel, sell Real Estate and look for gold as a hobby, when I get a chance, and when I am not travelling, I like to talk to other traveler's (around our camp fire at night, when in season), so I can plan future trips to any new destinations.
