The space
Relax after a full ski-day in Shiyuki, a sleek 208sqm chalet in Furano's Kitanomine zone that is only a 7-minute walk away from the gondola. Sleeps up to 10 guests, it blends Japanese minimalism with modern interiors with its open-plan living room, a Hiba wood soaking tub, a full kitchen with Nespresso and wine cellar, ski lockers, heated garage, and floor heating throughout.

The Kitanomine gondola, ski slopes and local restaurants are just a 2-minute drive away. Shiyuki puts you exactly where you want to be, then makes it very hard to leave.
Pull into the indoor garage, head upstairs, and the chalet opens up — loft ceilings, exposed beams, full-height windows, and a wrap-around balcony facing the town and mountains beyond.
The master gets the best of it: a deep Hiba-wood soaking tub that encourages you to take it slow. Three bedrooms downstairs each sleep two, king-or-twin, with shared bathrooms close by. Full kitchen, Nespresso coffee machine, breakfast bar, and a spacious open-plan dining area. At night, the wine cellar and the sofa handle the rest.

Furano provides year-round appeal: enjoy lavender fields and scenic cycling routes through summer, hillsides ablaze in autumn. Then the ski slopes open again and the cycle repeats — never quite the same twice.

Tucked into a quiet corner of Kitanomine, Shiyuki is a two-minute drive from the gondola and ski hills; and just two blocks from the main street’s best tables. Furano town is five minutes by car for a proper night out or a grocery run. Come summer, Farm Tomita’s lavender fields are a 20-minute drive away, with Shirogane Blue Pond and other photogenic spots not far beyond.
