I stayed here my brother and 4 cousin's for the weekend because another cousin was getting married in Holland. This place was perfect for us.

Clean, comfortable home with nice amenities. Location and having 4 bedrooms worked out great for our golf weekend near Holland. Rich was a great host, responded quickly to any questions. We were greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit, snacks, and beverages.

Rich is a phenomenal host. We had everything we needed and more. He is also very friendly and accommodating making sure we were all set every step of the way, giving suggestions on where to go, and providing a fun safe place for us to spend time. The house is in a great location, we spent time in downtown Holland and also enjoyed time at the pier. Thank you again for such an amazing weekend. We would love to come stay again.

Our group felt this house was average, at best. Our first impression when walking in the house was the overpowering musty/mildewy smell. It was strong enough that it was hard to breathe. We opened up windows immediately to air it out and that helped the upstairs. However, the basement, where the odor originated, had no ventilation possible since the windows seemed to be fixed casement windows. The three upstairs bedrooms were small, but decent. The bedroom downstairs was unacceptable. In addition to the odor, it had a wood floor placed directly over the cement and it felt like you were walking on a floating floor with each step. It cannot meet code! There was no escape route other than the ladder in the next room going up to some sort of hatch in the ceiling! The house was smaller than we anticipated. With eight of us, we had to bring chairs in from other areas in order to eat together or gather in the living room. The "hot tub" is actually a jacuzzi bathtub in one of the bathrooms. You could maybe fit two people in it at a time. In general, the house felt somewhat dirty. It was dusty under areas and in corners. The oven was filthy with burnt drip of spilled-over food hanging from the racks! The house needs a good thorough cleaning with attention to detail. We liked having a garage to store our bikes and being able to hop on the trail across the street to go as far as we desired walking or riding :) It was located close to many areas we wanted to visit and we enjoyed DeBoer's Bakerijj and Captain Sundae (several times :) ). Check in was easy and Rich checked several times via text/email to make sure everything was going okay and if we had any questions.

Response from Rich:
Connie, Thanks for your review. I have since replaced all of the carpeting in the house, added carpeting downstairs, added a dehumidifier in the basement, and ran the oven's self-cleaning function. As I mentioned when I checked in with you and in the note I left, I live close by and am always available to help with any issues during your stay. It is frustrating when nothing is mentioned until after the rental is over. Best Regards, Rich

Great place to stay, we had 4 adult couples who all had plenty of room. Was able to accommodate our 5 motorcycles which was a major plus with us.

My family enjoyed our stay! It was great having a bedroom for everyone and my husband and son really enjoyed the pool table. The back yard and deck were fun to play and relax in. It was very helpful that the house is not cluttered as we have a curious toddler! It was also very clean. Nice updated kitchen. The house had all we needed including beach towels, kitchen supplies, etc. 10 min drive to downtown and the beach is a short drive down the street. The only negative was that the beds made a loud noise when you sat on them - I think it was the boxsprings? Anyway, nice place, good value. Rich was also very easy to reach and communicate with.

This house was Great. Perfect location just down the road from the beach. Plenty of room for our family. Loved the downstairs reck room. The kids played pool every night. The movies and board games were a very nice touch. Enjoyed a camp fire in the back yard. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Michigan.
