Welcome! This is our quirky wee cabin, a cosy getaway in the far north highlands.
A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

The space
The Potter’sRest is cosy wee open plan cabin. The cabin offers many modern conveniences including free WiFi, USB charging points, smart televisions and digitally controlled central heating.
The cabin is on one level with a bedroom at one end. There is a galley style kitchen, a seating area and wet-room area.

Guest access
The cabin is within an extensive garden area with a large driveway. There are areas to sit and enjoy the views.

Located just two miles from the closest village of Watten and seven miles from the nearest town of Wick you will be ideally located to explore Caithness or a little further afield in Sutherland or even a hop across the water to Orkney.

Other things to note
We provide many items for your convenience including tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt & pepper, vinegar, cooking foil and cling film. We can also leave you a starter pack containing milk, butter, cheese, fruit etc, just ask at time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

We welcome your pet but request that you keep them under control and clear up after them before you leave. There are surrounding fields which may contain livestock and therefore all dogs must be prevented from entering fields beyond the property.

Celebrating something special? Let us know at the time of booking and we can help you make it memorable. We can even provide a piper or two to help your celebrations start with a true taste of Scotland. For an additional fee our son and daughter can play their great Highland pipes for you. They both play with the local pipe band and would be delighted to entertain.
