Our house sits atop the hill in Jenner and offers views of the Russian River just before it meets the Pacific. As a neighbor to the Wildlands Conservancy, the property is calm, quiet, and a great place to take in the beauty of the Sonoma Coast.

The house is well equipped. And you're welcome to use anything you find: 1 bed, 1 futon, fireplace, WiFi, hot tub. Trees abound. Flowers abloom. And this deck. Really, this deck.

Have a look around. We'd be happy to welcome you soon.

The space

Our home neighbors the Wildlands Conservancy, which spans 5,630 acres, and is protected from development. Tucked into a seasonal creek valley, the home is protected from coastal winds, and privileged to a surprising amount of coastal sun.

Guest access

You're free to roam the entire property: through the house, across the decks, down the paths, along the creek, and beneath the redwoods.

Ryan and James' house was even better than the photos made it look. The view of the river and ocean are stunning and the house is perfect. We loved having access to both the hot tub and the hammock. The house is very private and relaxing, and the hosts were very quick to respond with any questions we had. We'd definitely go back!

As many other review have stated, this is a special place. It has a perfect balance of a quaint cabin, very useable decks, landscape, and the perfect view. It is a private place with great access to the beaches, a great local coffee shop, wine tasting, and a full view of the milky way and stars from the hot tub. I love music and always have it playing but the wind chime won out on this trip and provided the peaceful rhythm we were needing. Thanks Ryan and James!

Ryan & James's place is so lovely! The view is stunning, the deck and the landscaping are beautiful, and I saw so many different birds while I was there. The house is comfortable and has everything you need, including some delightful extras like throw blankets, binoculars, yoga mats, etc. Ryan and James are great at communication and keep a clear, easy to use manual at the house that answered all of my questions before I could even ask them. I had the most peaceful and relaxing stay and I can't wait to return.

We could not recommend this place more! Ryan and James's fantastic Coastal Cabin in Jenner is a zen paradise with lovely furnishings, thoughtful amenities, and beautifully expansive views of the Russian River and the Pacific Ocean. We really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with our hosts - they were super fast at responding and had great regional recommendations and tips. Jenner is a terrifically central location for some amazing day-trips. We very much enjoyed and highly recommend dining at Coast Kitchen at the Timber Cove Resort, Fort Ross, Fort Ross Winery, Healdsberg, Point Reyes Station, Inverness, Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve/Guerneville, etc. (nothing was really more than an hour away). This gem of a cabin and the entire region are wonderfully restorative. Couple of technical tips for potential guests: Verizon users - you will not have cell phone reception at the cabin/in Jenner (we found it very easy to stay in touch via IM over the wifi when at the cabin). There is no washer/dryer available, so if you have a very active agenda and plan on staying a week or so like we did - we highly recommend packing plenty of extra clothes for warm inland excursions and very cool/damp evenings on the coast (we had several foggy days and nights that didn't really allow us to hang out clothes to dry).

Ryan & James User ProfileRyan & James is a superhost.

We bounce between San Francisco and Sonoma, play with pretty plants, and read everything from Sunset to The Economist as well as anything about medicine, which we each work in.

Our home in San Francisco is on a cute, quiet street nestled between popular boulevards in The Mission. In Sonoma, we're where the river meets the coast -- atop the hill in Jenner.

In both places, we keep our surfaces clear and lines clean. We feel lucky living between these two homes.
