The space

This house is a jewel box located on 10 acres with hilltop views and offers approximately 1800' of open living space (downstairs) and 600' of furnished loft space. The home is decorated with an eclectic mix of curated European antiques and Hill Country treasures including a 1874 wood burning stove from the Schulenberg Library, a warehouse door from the Shiner Brewery, a 17th century French fireplace, London Pub signs, French street signs, and other treasures waiting to be discovered. Conveniences include Tempurpedic mattresses (King master, Twin and Full beds in loft), Le Creuset cookware in the kitchen, multi-zone audio, and DISH TV service.

The home offers wide open space yet a cozy feel and is finished to a high level. It's peaceful patios, landscaping, and foot paths are ideal for decompressing from the busy city life.

This property has been on Airbnb since 2015 with 100% 5-star ratings thanks to prior host/owner Patrick (see picture gallery for prior guest Reviews). I purchased the home in 2016 (as a former guest) and am continuing the tradition of service excellence.

The house was built using "green" materials and uses rainwater collection as its water source so please be considerate/conservative with your water use!

Guest access

There are multiple foot paths for walking meditation, hidden rest areas, and parking (2 spots are covered). Lots of privacy and opportunities to explore on the 10 acres.

Interaction with guests

Your privacy and enjoyment is my #1 goal. The house comes equipped with everything you need for an experience unlike any other. However if you find that have questions, I am happy to help.

The neighbourhood

This loft house offers the best of both worlds: tranquil seclusion yet proximity to activities if you want them. Less than 10 minutes to Wimberley and 45 minutes to Austin.

The house was absolutely stunning. We couldn't believe it when we walked in. The house is so well decorated and it was a little piece of heaven. We felt so comfortable and the scenic views were amazing. Steve was an amazing host, he was very responsive to my questions and helped me create the perfect itinerary for surprising my boyfriend for the weekend.

We were looking for something different, where we would be happy to do nothing but hang out and chill. The house was beautiful, with charmingly quirky decor and features, full of interesting details. The quiet, serene acreage included deer, a variety of birds, butterflies and colorful flowers. Our favorite feature was the large back porch, specifically the double chaise lounge, where we spent many hours. The sunsets were amazing, and the Hill Country views better than expected. We very much hope to return someday.

Such a beautiful spot and such a beautiful energy in the space. We had a lovely three days there, enjoying the space, the views, the porch...enamored with the hummingbirds by day and fireflies by night. I highly recommend a stay there. We will return!

Wow! The Hill Country Loft is truly indescribable. It's peaceful, has amazing views, quiet - beautiful sunsets. We had everything we needed and more! We traveled with our three children, youngest is 6, and we felt safe with the kids sleeping in the loft. They had so much fun! They enjoyed playing chess, helping us bbq, throwing the frisbee in the beautiful grounds. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck with a glass of wine. We all LOVED this home and it was very hard to leave!
