About this listing
Built by a Belgian ex-pat, this architectural gem blends Hill Country warmth and old world charm: 100-year old beams, reclaimed hardwood floors, upscale furnishings, European antiques/fixtures, stone/plaster walls, vaulted loft and eco-friendly modern conveniences. A private 10-acre hilltop retreat with fire pit, hammock, tree swing, foot paths, and wild flowers - all waiting to be discovered. The west-facing large back porch is perfect for sipping wine at sunset.
This house is a jewel box located on 10 acres with hilltop views and offers approximately 1800' of open living space (downstairs) and 600' of furnished loft space. The home is decorated with an eclectic mix of curated European antiques and Hill Country treasures including a 1874 wood burning stove from the Schulenberg Library, a warehouse door from the Shiner Brewery, a 17th century French fireplace, London Pub signs, French street signs, and other treasures waiting to be discovered. Conveniences include Tempurpedic mattresses (King master, Twin and Full beds in loft), Le Creuset cookware in the kitchen, multi-zone audio, and DISH TV service.
The home offers wide open space yet a cozy feel and is finished to a high level. It's peaceful patios, landscaping, and foot paths are ideal for decompressing from the busy city life.
This property has been on Airbnb since 2015 with 100% 5-star ratings thanks to prior host/owner Patrick (see picture gallery for prior guest Reviews). I purchased the home in 2016 (as a former guest) and am continuing the tradition of service excellence.
The house was built using "green" materials and uses rainwater collection as its water source so please be considerate/conservative with your water use!
There are multiple foot paths for walking meditation, hidden rest areas, and parking (2 spots are covered). Lots of privacy and opportunities to explore on the 10 acres.
Interaction with guests
Your privacy and enjoyment is my #1 goal. The house comes equipped with everything you need for an experience unlike any other. However if you find that have questions, I am happy to help.
