The space

The apartment is part of a new purpose built block that incorporates the St Mary Of Eton church in Hackney Wick. Finished in 2014, the development has won several awards inc. a national RIBA (architecture) award and House Design award. As well as the apartments and church, within the complex is a garden area and small boutique flower shop.

The floor to ceiling windows provide beautiful natural light throughout the whole space, the morning sunrise from the East is particularly spectacular. From the living room you are able to see the Olympic Park, inc. the stadium and the famous Anish Kapoor ArcelorMittal Orbit. At night the monuments are lit up and look amazing.

Guest access

The apartment occupies the whole of the floor and has direct lift access.

There are actually 2 bedrooms, however one is used for storage and out of bounds, the rest of the space is yours to use and enjoy.

Clean towels and linen are provided, along with use of all kitchen equipment. Special mention goes to the rainforest shower in the bathroom, which is the perfect way to start the day.

The flat has super high-speed fibre internet for all your internet/media needs.

Interaction with guests

I have another flat in the vicinity that I live in and therefore will be on hand to offer help and advice throughout the duration of your stay - either on phone, or in person.

We enjoyed our stay (and the welcome bottle of wine left by our host) immensely. Public transport was easy, there are shops, cafes, restaurants close by, and the flat is surrounded by nearby parks, canals, walks, cycle paths etc and is a quick trip by bus (or walk) to Stratford (major shopping and transport hub). The flat was as described and we were very comfortable. We had a couple of minor hiccups (an internet outage & supply of another key) during our 3 week stay, but these were promptly solved by our host which we sincerely appreciated. Hoping to stay here again!

Dickies place was exactly how he explained it in his description. The elevator takes you to your own floor and you are met with a modern apartment that is more spacious than any other space I've stayed in throughout the U.K. And continental Europe. The location allowed me to jog to the gym which is about 7 minutes away. (Copper box arena - Better gym) Restaurants: -scoffs grill in the same building if you like good Turkish food. - nature pizza right down the street Grocery store: - there is a express grocery store right across the street. It is small but has everything you need to get by. - if you are looking for bigger grocery stores there are two in the Westfield mall which is really close. Transportation: -388 bus will take you to Stratford Station where you can get on the national rail or the underground and go practically anywhere. It's a 10 minute bus ride. - the bus stop is literally right below your living room window so you can see if you missed the bus you were supposed to get on or not. It is very convenient. - the overground station hackney wick is about a 5 minute walk. The apartment had everything you need, it is in a location surrounded by parks, the London stadium is next door and the mall is really close so shopping, and food is always nearby. I highly recommend this flat. It is spacious and comfortable, it was the second time I've stayed at dickies. I've stayed there for a total of 3 months. I will stay there again when I go back to London if there is availability. Cheers!!

Dickies flat is a great place to stay in East London, flat is very new, well maintained and the photos say it all. Its in a good location and well connected to bus routes and the overground. Communication was easy and any questions I had were answered without delay. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

Although I did not actually meet Dickie face to face, I found his approach to be very welcoming. He was very prompt in responding with friendly and informative messages. Dickie provided very clear arrival instructions, which were easy to follow and we had no trouble at all in getting into the flat ( made all the better for having a lift right outside the front door). There was no disappointment with the flat, it is exactly as shown and described. The flat is very modern, clean and spacious, and we enjoyed a very comfortable fortnights stay. The block itself is very secure and peaceful , rarely seeing (or hearing) other neighbours. The flat has a great advantage in that no neighbours actually pass directly by the front door, this means that you are never disturbed by other people's comings and goings. Hackney Wick is a great location to be based in East London, close to the city, great links to the Westend. Having said that you don't need to go far as Hackney Wick has everything on its' door step: Olympic Park, Victoria Par and plenty of cool bars and places to eat.........ohh and great shopping too. I would definitely recommend Dickie's flat to others.
