Enjoy our sunny and spacious home inside the medieval walled city of Lucca. Our newly renovated apartment is a first floor walk-up in a 400 year old building with all the modern conveniences.
The apartment is that warm and relaxing home where you can rest your feet, relax with a nice glass of wine and comfortably enjoy life.
The apartment was recently featured on the hit reality TV show House Hunters International in an episode titled Passing the Torch. It is great fun to watch!
UPDATE Fall 2017: In exciting news, we installed air conditioning in all of the bedrooms in addition to the common space. It makes for a very pleasant experience in the summer heat! Some of our older reviews reference work our upstairs neighbors were doing. They have finished their work and the work on the exterior of the building and entry hall have been completed. The place looks fantastic!
Guests have access to the whole apartment with the exception of one locked cabinet which contains some personal items for when we use the apartment.
Interaction with guests
Our property manager Alessio is a local with a tremendous amount of insider knowledge. We can arrange cooking classes, language lessons, wine tours, food excursions, a private chef, you name it and we will do our best to make it happen!
Other things to note
We like staying in houses where people mind the details. We have taken great care to provide all the amenities we would love to have. The TV is a smart TV with access to Netflix, which is connected to a Sonos Playbar so that you can play all your favorite music. The provided tablet allows you to stay connected and control the TV and Sonos.
We have paid the highest attention to the beds. There are two sets of pillows; ergonomic memory foam and soft down. Each of the bedrooms has shutters that can close and block out all light as well as privacy drapes during the day. Sleep tight!
This is a strict no smoking home.
From Oct 30 - Nov 5, 2017 the minimum stay is 5 nights.
My wife and I have two young girls and we love to travel the world with them and show them different cultures and places. We also have a second home in Lucca, Italy which we love to share with others through Airbnb.
