About this listing
Spacious, book-lined room with double bed and wash-hand basin. Quiet family home in a safe, pleasant neighbourhood in Headington, near Oxford Brookes University, just a short walk from the John Radcliffe Hospital and easy access to Oxford city centre.
Pleasant decor with interesting reading on the bookshelves, a broad picture window and view of our garden. The room is centrally heated and airy. There is a chest of drawers, wash-hand basin, desk and wardrobe for guests' use, with mirrors and lamps.
The room is not en-suite but just a few steps away from a bathroom with full bath and shower; we also have a cloakroom downstairs. You are welcome to use the kitchen and an informal help-yourself breakfast is available in the morning. You may also use the washing machine.
Interaction with guests
We have hosted many guests of different nationalities over the years and enjoy making them feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable. We can provide information about local attractions and help point you in the right direction! We have lived here for over 20 years and know the area well.
Other things to note
Let us know in advance if you have special requirements for breakfast, as we aim to please. We have two other rooms which we let out to guests.
We appreciate a quiet night (and most of our guests do too!).
You may use the kitchen in the evenings, but please make it as brief as possible and clean up completely afterwards.
Let us know if you are thinking of bringing a child.
Please go easy on the use of strong perfumes.

I grew up in the US and met my husband Neil in Scotland. We have lived in Oxford for twenty years and hosted guests from many parts of the world. We enjoy meeting people of different cultures and sharing a bit of ours.
