Stay in a historically marked “torp” that takes you back to the 1700s. Here you have full privacy and nature at your doorstep, which makes it a perfect space to work on a book, meditate or just regenerate from an otherwise busy lifestyle. As the pine trees at the driveway welcomes you to the garden, you feel taken away from time and space.

There is a total of 5500 sqm nature that you get all to yourself. There is also a charger for electric cars.

The space
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING.

This torp is located in the sweet spot of being close to the beach (20 mins) and the touristy coastal cities (such as Båstad, Halmstad, Ängelholm), and still in the secluded nature with the forest of the Hallandsås right outside your doorstep. Furthermore, it lays between two bigger parks for physical activities (Vallåsen and Kungsbygget), where you can enjoy mountain-biking (or skiing in the winter), wall climbing, zip lines, rodel, and much more. There are also many beautiful lakes and hiking paths in the immediate area.

On the property we have a charger for electric cars that you are free to use. Please bring your own charging cable. (Flat fee of EUR 5 per day - let us know if you’d like to use it and we will unlock it for you).

The cottage is a self-check in/check out and offers 7 beds. Please bring your own towels, linen, toilet paper and bottled water, and please leave it in the same condition as you found it so it’s ready for the next guest.

IMPORTANT FURTHER INFO:

Please note that the cottage offers a simple lifestyle; with leaning floors, crooked windows, rather low ceiling (people over 1.90 please be careful), and no running water. There is one inside bathroom with a bio compost toilet (“mulltoa”) that works as a regular toilet.

You should also not be too scared of spiders or wild animals, as the space is literally located in the southern Swedish jungle. If you are lucky you might get the chance to see elks or other animals. Not suitable for people that want perfection or luxury.

The property has a well where you can get water for washing up, doing dishes, etc (no drinking water). You can get drinking water for free at the Våxtorp gas station, by the “Luft & Vatten” station. —> please note that the well is dried out at the moment!

Electricity is in place and the house is nice and warm in the winter. The kitchen is small and has got two cooking plates, oven, water cooker, fridge, freezer, but obviously no sink or running water. The well water is however ok for cooking. Plates, cutleries and other amenities for cooking are in place.

There is an outside shower that can be operated with the water from the well. A small electric pump offers a neat shower experience. Hot water from the kettle in the kitchen can be added manually to enhance comfort.

Please note that due to high energy prices, we would need to charge a flat fee of 10 EUR per day for the electricity during the colder months of Nov-March.

Guest access
The entire property can be accessed.

Other things to note
Please note that the property has no running water or sewage. There is a compostable bio toilet inside (mulltoa). Water can be pulled from the well but this is not suitable for drinking —> please note that the well is currently dried out!

Please bring your own bottled water, towels, linen and toilet paper.

There are in total 5 beds (180 cm, 140 cm and 3 x 90 cm). The 140 cm bed is placed in a private bedroom.
