Fine little cabin 40 sqm with a good kitchen, bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom queen size bed (and baby crib). Attic with mattresses for 4. Living room with a sleeping couch for 2. (Sleeping place for 6 good friends.) Good cabin to stay in, warm and cosy. Good to have as a base because there is short drive to Reykjavik(80 km), south and west side of Iceland.
Short drive to nature of the South: Golden Circle, Waterfall Faxi, Seljalandsfoss, Skógarfoss, glacier, mountains, lakes and rivers.

The space
The cabin is in the country with view to the mountains and down to the lake Apavatn. There is sheltered terrace around the house. A small brook creek next to the house. The land is covered with moss and low shrubs. Very near to the road Laugarvatnsvegur.
One other thing, you can drink water from the tap, it is very clean and comes from a source on the hill above the cabin.

Guest access
Guest would have the cabin for them self. No one else is there but there are other cabins nearby.
I recommend that you use the swimming pool at Minni-Borg(8km from cabin) for bath and comfort relaxing. The shower in the cabin is fine for maybe two but not enough hot water for more people at a time.

If you have kids with you, there are some toys inside and outside that they can play with.

I love to travel, especially in Iceland. I have always been proud of my country and its people. I can not imagine living anywhere else in the world. However, the weather is not always good but this is Icelandic weather and I do not want to have it differently. when I go to my cabin, I go into another world, I am calm and balanced and I enjoy being outdoors. I go and visit places around that sell vegetables(Laugarás), fruits(Reykholt/Flúðir) and plant to plant(Nátthagi/Storð/Sólheimar). I go swimming(Minni-Borg) and strolling around the neighbourhood or riding my bike(Laugarvatn). we love to work on the cabin and in the garden. we also love to have guests and bake bread or cake. I have special DVD in the cabin I have collect so I can watch on rainy days or read a book or knitting something for the grandchildren. I and my hubby love to cook and eat good Icelandic lamb and lobster, with lot of vegetable. And the cheese is great. For breakfast I have Icelandic original Skyr (quark) with milk and strawberry(Reykholt).
