This is a comfortable , clean, one bedroom unit in an upscale condominium complex with an adult and child swimming pool. It is clean and well located within the walled City. The pricing is extremely competitive.
Mark responds very well by email if you send him a message, but he's not really available because he's probably in another city.
Staying with Mark is not the usual airBnB experience; after all, he owns or rents an astounding 85 different units and receives an average of 44 reviews per month. This is clearly a significant for-profit business with a turnover of over a million dollars a year, run on the Airbnb platform.
As such, It definitely lacks the personal touch you would find in an owner who is renting out their own personal home or a room in their in their personal home.
This shows itself up particularly in the kitchen and in the maintenance. The kitchen was absolutely bare except for some very simple utensils, cooking equipment and plates.
There were no staples whatsoever; no salt pepper sugar coffee or milk. There was no kettle, the corkscrew was broken, and the autopilot on the gas stove was broken and it was unusable until I called and had them bring some matches. There were no paper towels, no dishcloths or tea towels and no dishwasher detergent. One of the lamps had a broken inline switch with exposed wires.
The view out to the pools is quite nice, but you can't see it because the floor-to-ceiling windows are covered with white plastic opaque sheeting.
If you just want to use the place to keep some beers in the fridge and eat 3 meals a day outside in restaurants you will be fine. If you want to buy any of the amazing fruits and vegetables in Colombia and enjoy salads, the kitchen supplied will frustrate you
