Steve's place is spacious, comfortable and very attractive. I especially loved how the house allowed us to enjoy the lovely outdoors through views, barbecuing on the patio and good walks/jogs. The kitchen and sunroom are especially inviting for a group of family or friends. Since we had a 6 month old baby in the group, we spent more time in the house than usual on holiday, so the environment was important.

I had the good fortune to spend the entire summer of 2017 at Steve’s property in Tillson, which served as a fairytale setting for rare retreat. As other reviewers have mentioned, the photos don’t do justice to the house’s spacious and graceful proportions, flow, light, and overall design. The furnishings are comfortable, the decor is eclectic and tasteful, the house is modernized and clean and accommodates multiple guests easily, and the whole space has a special . .feng shui. Steve, who is welcoming and responsive to a fault, has generously provided anything and everything for your entertainment and comfort. The grounds are gorgeous. The property used to be a working mill, and the house sits directly on a small waterway of ponds and waterfalls connected by a meandering stream, complete with old wooden bridges. There are large swaths of lawn surrounded by mature trees, and elaborate flower gardens worthy of an English estate. The wildlife is diverse and plentiful – I observed the lifecycle of the frog during my stay -- and across the road are more acres with open vistas, rolling hills, and a large pond. The amount of care and upkeep (and expense) Steve puts into maintaining the place is truly impressive. During my more ambitious moments I utilized the property as a scenic and rigorous interval training course; in my quieter ones I sat listening to birdsong and the burbling water. My two small Brooklyn-raised dogs, who got to roam free for an entire summer and who met a broad cast of woodland creatures they won’t soon forget – just ask Lottie what happens when you mess with a toad! -- were simply blown away, as were my guests. If you’re looking for an outstanding rental property in the Hudson Valley, you’ll be delighted when you get here that you chose this one. Thanks, Steve!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Steve's beautiful home. It is far more than the pictures could possibly show. The sound of the waterfall running through the property made for a very relaxing stay. Steve's home really is fantastic. The interior is equipped with all the modern conveniences you could want as well a great rustic feel that makes it feel cozy even in a large house. The outside is great for children and dogs as there is plenty of space to roam as well as beautifully manicured gardens surrounding the house. We felt like we were staying in a home set within a botanical garden. It is truly a beautifully unique space and we hope to be back soon. Thanks Steve!

We loved the decor. Especially the tons of couches and the fire place. We also loved the beautiful view we spent 2 hours sitting on the porch staring at the beautiful grounds.

This is really a beautiful house, in a beautiful mountain area. We woke up early in the morning and even saw a deer outside the window. The decoration is beautiful and it's clean. Very suitable and comfortable house for families or 6 to 8 people. Steve communicated well and helped us in a really good attitude. I will recommend this house to my friends. :)

Cozy, modern, and unique house in private location (bed room and bath rooms are not private, bc giant glass windows are all around! But it's funny. you can have a unique experience). House is huge that you can use first and second floor. And Smart heating system and Amazon Alexa sound system are awesome!!! Best ever place! Highly recommend.
