Please note: the price includes everything, no extra fees for cleaning, tourist fee, or anything else.

Few kilometers from Menaggio and Domaso, from the B&B Il Motto you can easly enjoy all the activities that the Lake of Como offers: sport (windsurf, swim, kite-surf, sail, diving, fishing, trekking, mountain bike, golf, skiing), visits to wonderful villas and their parks, to small ancient villages and Abbeys, natural landscapes; cultural and musical events all over the year.

But ultimately a place where you can just rest and relax.

Other things to note

From Cremia, in fact you can easily visit both the northern part or the southern part of the lake.
A lot of daily trips are possible. You would need quite a bit of day to really understand the area.
Just to let you know: from Cremia to Como, the southest city of th lake, it is less than 1 hour by car or, even better, a couple of hours by boat (public transportation, pretty cheap).
Going North you could visit cities (Dongo, Gravedona, Sorico, Gera Lario). Interesting cities with a lot of historical spots. You know, this is Italy: any place you could find spots more than 600 years old, very nice view points, modern architecture.
Just to mention, the area is know also for the “Antica Via Regina”, a Roman street that used to connect Como (thus Milano) with Chiavenna (that means also a trip Switzerland via Spluga or via Maloja passes). Medieval churches are here and there, everywhere.
Going South you might visit other cities, probably more “modern”: Menaggio, Tremezzo, Lenno, Argegno, Laglio to mention just some of them. These are some of the places where at the end of the 19th century rich families coming from Milan (but also from other big european cities) used to spend their summer. Rich palaces are here and there everywhere.
People who is used to see also the historical interactions of the human being with the territory will also appreciate the medieval origin of most of those city.

But you should also going East. Yes, there is a lake there, thus you should catch a boat.

You know, any meter you walk or drive going North or South, you could think you are in a different part of the world. The shape of the coasts, of the mountains, the light... they change any meter, any minute, offering unique landscapes.
But the view that you have from the lake is another story. You can not miss it. In particular at sunset.
And on the other side of the lake you can visit Bellano, Dervio, but in particular Corenno Plinio, Varenna and Bellagio. From Menaggio 15 minutes by boat and you are there. From Cremia, 10-15 minutes and you are in Menaggio.

And finally, you should go West.
That means going up in the mountains. Again, sorry to say that again, but any meter you go up, you will find out that the lake is a new lake, a new color, a new shape. It is never the same.
Furthermore, the mountains on the west side of the lake used to cultivated a lot. You still can find small mountain villages (the “Monti”) where, until about the early '60, cows used to “spend their summer time”. Families used to rely on these animals for living, thus the fresh summer grass of
the mountains was very important also for the production of cheese.
In these places you can find bunches of small houses (mainly one stable with one room on top) that now are being renovated and are used as summer holidays. Basically, when you reach the altitude of about 1000 meters you have a fantastic view of the lake and then you could walk North or South along the “Via dei Monti Lariani”, a 4-6 days walk along an ancient path that connects the “Monti”.
You can arrive at 1000 meters either by foot (this is up to your legs) or by car: in 15 minutes from Cremia (frazione San Vito close to the lake or frazione Vignola, the “center” of Cremia) you reach the area of Cremia known as San Domenico (there is a small chapel named to San Domenico) and from there you could walk South or North. Or even climb the Monte Bregagno.
So being in Cremia is an interesting starting point. And of course I would recommend you to come in my place.

As for the name, we are a B&B, thus a Bed and Breakfast.

But first of all, these are your holidays.

We offer a "bed and breakfast". The italian law (we are registred in the official list of the "Provincia di Como") rules this kind of accomodation.

In addition to the bed and the breakfast, we will provide "some" suggestions on what to do and what to see.
And what to eat (after all you are in Italy and food is a part of the landscape).

We have an entire shelf of brouchures....and we also listen to our guests and their feedbacks.
We will try to find the place that best suites your wills.
Good Pizzeria, fancy restaurant, best ice-cream shop on the lake...

In the house, we offer rooms with lake view, private bathroom, bed for two. We can add a bed for kids.

Each room has a private bathroom.
Bed linen, towels (to be used only in the house), hairdrier, shampooning... are provided.

And breakfast is served on the ground floor, in our dining room. Here there is also a refrigerator at your disposal to store some food.
Cooking is not permitted in the rooms. In case you need, please ask.

Breakfast is composed of coffee, tea, fruit juice, cereals, yougurt, some cheese. Bread and croissants. Do not hesitate to ask if you require anything in particular.

We usually wait for guests between 4 and 6 pm. Please advice if you need to arrive at a different time.

Departures should be within 10 in the morning. As above, if you need to leave at a different time, let us know.

In the house, there is also a washing machine. Just ask if you need.

And in any case.... these are your holidays.
Enjoy them

We had a fantastic stay at B&B Motto. Silva and her family were extremely welcome. Even before our arrival Silvia helped us with travel arrangements and made us feel confident about our booking. Silvia and her family went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. The house is in a beautiful location with stunning views across the lake. The room was clean and comfortable with our own balcony. Silvia helped us organise excursions and suggested places not to miss out on in Lake Como. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely break.

I stopped at Silvia's place on my way to the Mille Miglia. Our arrival time was rather uncivilised 2 AM. She was kind enough staying up to greet and guided us to our room. The morning view from our window was breathtaking. We had a lovely breakfast prepared by Silvia and his father. Based on their advise we crossed lake Como with a ferry and had a scenic drive along the shore. It was a perfect day before the spectacle in Brescia. I would go back any time.

Between the hospitality, the view and the charm of this B&B you can't go wrong. Silvia was a great help, as we were first time travelers to Italy. We would definitely come back again. Our time there was short so we'd love to spend more there.

We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights in the B&B in Cremia. For Silvia and her parents hospitality is in their genes. Direct from the first contact they helped with information and support on everything we needed. The house and the room are comfortable and spacious. We had even 2 balconies and with a nice view on the garden and the lake. They serve a great breakdast. From the house you can reach the lake and some nice restaurants in a small and beautiful walk. Cremia is a very good point to start beautiful tours along lake Como and almost directly from the B&B you can make wonderful hiking tours up in the mountains with great panoramic views.
