We had a great weekend at the Cottage by Laurel Lake. The cottage is great - very spacious, with many different porches/decks and beautiful views of the lake from almost every room. The screened in side-porch with the big hammock ended up being a favorite spot for everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped & the gas grill on the front deck is almost brand new. The cottage is also really dog-friendly (the front deck has a gate at the stairs to keep pets from heading down to the street). There is also another optional gate between the living room and kitchen, which was so convenient for separating our 2 dogs during meal times. There is no A/C, but there are tons of windows, and two big fans. Temps were in the 80s and we didn't feel hot at all. The lake is directly across the street. The public boat ramp is a few yards to the left, and the small public beach is about 100 yards to the left and around the corner to the right. The lake itself was amazing - warm & extremely clean. Very friendly people at the beach. We also used both of the kayaks that were available in the shed (but I suggest skipping the paddle boat - I think it had reached the end of its useful life). We loved our stay here and would definitely rent the cottage again.

Host was very generous with allowing us flexibility with arrival and departure and allowing family dog. Host communicated very quickly and thoughtfully. The lake is wonderful, very clean. Large master bedroom (great bed linens), open loft (very narrow spiral stairs) and sleeper couch in community space made it small for more than one family. Quiet area, nice weekend getaway!
