Interaction with guests
My husband and I grew up in the area and still call Tilghman home. We currently live in cape Cod ,MA and have a local woman who handles the cleaning, greeting, and anything needed while you are there. We are a phone call away 24 hrs a day with any questions, etc. We have lived there for most of our lives and can offer lots of information about Tilghman and the surrounding area.
Access to everything on the island is within walking distance or a short bike ride. There is a great country store with anything you could need,as well as several restaurants and bars.Beautiful sunsets a the end of the island.Fishing charters are available and ideal area for kayaking and biking.
The surrounding towns of St. Michaels ,Easton and Oxford are an easy drive away. There are numerous things to see and do and many restaurants and bars.Don't miss the Waterman's Museum on Tilghman, a sail on the Lady Patty in Tilghman docked next to Marker 5 restaurant, and the Chesapeake Maritime Museum in st. Micheals.
Other things to note

Use the exhaust fan in the kitchen if you cook anything that gives off a lot of heat.No Pets. You are expected to leave the dishes clean and all pots and pans scrubbed inside and out.The dish washer does not have to be unloaded if you run it before you leave.Trash should be put in the large can outside and three are bins for recycling. All towels and linens are washed by the cleaning gal. Please do not leave wet towels lying on the beds, etc. There are bars in the bathroom and hooks in the turn lights off when you are not there and the air conditioner to 74 when you are not there. Drawing the shades will keep the house cool, and then you can open them and turn the air back down to 68 to 70 when you are there to be comfortable.

Hey there!I am a health care professional specializing in mammography.I traveled in my field doing temp assignments all over the US for 8 years and found the Cape through 3 different summer assignments. Now working here full time. My husband and I own a BNB in Ninilchik,Alaska and he goes to run that May through September, which leaves me here with a room to rent.I love the beach and enjoy gardening, paddle boarding, and biking. Good wine and live music high up on my list, all found here on the Cape.I am a good baker and have 2 kitties that have trained me well. I am pretty neat and tidy having started and owned a cleaning service for 10 years. The cottage in Tilghman was home for many years until moving to the Cape for work. It is a vacation rental until we retire and move back to the island.Cape Cod is beautiful, but we are southerners at heart.
