The space

Our family lives in this apartment since December 2015, it's completely renovated. It measures 75 m2 and has 3 bedrooms, arranged around a large living room. It is a mix between an old flat (like the Parisian apartments) and modern amenities. The apartment is bright and very well located for visiting Paris on foot or by public transport .

Guest access

Our guests have the whole space of the flat :
- Living room with kitchen and lounge
- 1 bedroom with a double bed
- 1 children's bedroom with 2 bunk beds and plenty of activities to share (games, books, etc.)
- 1 bedroom with a convertible double bed
- 1 separate bathroom (bath) and 1 toilet

Interaction with guests

Our travelers can use our travel books, our tips and our "carnet de bord" to visit Paris, discover our tips, favorite places and districts. Some are very closed to the apartment. We are available to all to answer questions in order to prepare their trip.

The neighbourhood

Le Pré-Saint-Gervais is the smallest town of Paris metropole. It's just closed to Paris and Pantin. Le Pré-Saint-Gervais is a popular place known for its small houses flowered and its "village" shaped center (indoor market, small shops).
The 19th district of Paris is located a few minutes walk. The apartment is ideally situated for exploring the northeast of Paris, in full development, with many parks, activities and attractive districts : La Villette, Cité des Sciences, the new Philharmonic area, rivers (Ourcq and St Martin), Buttes Chaumont, the districts of Belleville and Menilmontant (15-20 minute walk).
The apartment is also located at the edge of Pantin (across the street), which is a popular and vibrant city. The New York Times and other French magazines have dubbed "the Brooklyn of Paris" since the city became a showcase of luxury (Hermes or Chanel workshops), art (Centre National de la Danse, Thadeus Gallery Roppac) and communication. Pantin develops around its Canal, which provides easy access to Paris by walking, or make beautiful walks, over water, on foot or bicycle.

Many shops, markets, supermarkets and restaurants for every taste, close between the 19th district of Paris, the center of Pré Saint-Gervais and Pantin.

Getting around

By walking : possibilité to reach Pantin, Parc de la Villette / Philharmonic area, Cité des Sciences ( 5-10 minute walk ), Belleville, Buttes Chaumont (15-20 minutes walk).

The apartment is located 250 meters from the Metro ( line 5 Hoche ) , allowing you to reach easily and directly the Canal Saint -Martin (10 minutes) , Republique (15 minutes) , Bastille (20 minutes) or the "Rive Gauche" of Paris (25-30 minutes).

Other subway lines are within walking distance : lines 11 and 7 bis. With the metro, the hyper center of Paris (Louvre, Notre Dame, Beaubourg , etc.) is located about 20 minutes. It is also easy to reach Montmartre (about 20 minutes), with Line 5 and Line 2 .

The apartment is also close to the tram that goes around Paris and is convenient to access Vincennes or Bercy ( about 15 minutes by tram) .

House Rules

We have 2 young children (3 and 5 years old), that's why the apartment is suitable for families. Games, books, cartoons to them. The apartment is equipped with a bath and we have many facilities for children in infancy.

The apartment itself was great, completely as advertised. It was comfortable for our family of 5 and very home-y. The only drawback was the location. On one hand it was very near to the metro and in the daylight there were nice places to explore...unfortunately after dark we felt somewhat unsafe walking from the metro. There was also a party in the downstairs apartment right below the children's bedroom which kept our kids awake. Overall though it was a great place and we would recommend this apartment. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very thorough in the information and instructions about the apartment.

This was our first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better. The apartment was a perfect size and price for our family. Gabriel replied quickly and booking was easy. Communication was excellent before and during the stay. Gabriel provided a detailed plan of the apartments, plus recommendations for nearby amenities, restaurants and things to do (and we tried as many as we could). Access was also smooth. We were met by a neighbour, who ran through everything we needed to know. The apartment itself was spotless and we had everything we needed. Having access to children's toys was fantastic and our kids were in heaven after a long drive from the South of France. The area is in the North East of Paris, literally directly off the Periferique junction, so very easy to find. Parking is on the street but only 5 Euros or so for the whole day. As a family, the lack of local bars and trendy nightlife wasn't a problem for us. If you're familiar with London, I'd describe the area as similar to Aldgate or Whitechapel (pre Hipster explosion). It's on the cusp, and rapidly changing. We felt for safe. Another huge bonus was the wonderful boulangerie downstairs. Thank you to Gabriel & Maite for being great hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hosts and so helpful and kind from the start to the end. In the case of our late arrival at night, they still came up with a perfect way to fit our schedule. We were so impressed by the warm tips of everything. Fully flexibility of rooms' usage was considered so that we still could make good arrangement for the elderly from the only one street-faced bedroom which could be a little bit noisy sometimes, into the other two capacious and comfortable bedrooms. The surrounding was convenient for food. We felt a little bit sorry that we used too much rice and honey from your kitchen ;) We'd like to recommend it to all.

A bientôt
