The space

Trullo Mimosa is a recently restored self-catering old Trullo set in his own grounds with large shared swimming pool. Covered areas for alfresco dining with BBQ. Ideal for families and groups. With each trullo having two bedrooms and two shower rooms the luxury trulli are ideal for families and groups, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. Situated close to Martina Franca in a great location for exploring the area. The virtually undiscovered region is rural with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why.
Every town has a market day selling locally produced goods from fresh fruit and veg, to clothes and shoes, a bargain to be found by all. The sun in July and August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region. The beautiful town of Martina Franca with its historic centre has an abundance for Bars and Restaurants to choose from. Sit in the large main piazza and watch the local Italians go about their daily routine.
Close to Alberobello is a town made up with over a thousand “trulli”, a small cylindrical building that peasants built hundreds of years ago to avoid paying taxes, now a popular tourist attraction.

Our stay at Daniel's Trulli was fantastic. Daniel was a great host who met us in town, provided an air conditioner as it was so hot and allowed us to check out late given our flight was in the evening. The pool is really big with a diving board which the kids loved. You need a car to get around but we knew this - I am only mentioning it as there are no shops within walking distance.

This place was amazing! We met Daniels's lovely wife, son and dad. They made us feel like home. The swimming pool was great and big, the trulli house was amazing traditional house with any comfort you might need. We wish we could stay there more days than planned. I hope we will see you again sometime, thanks!

Daniel and his family were charming hosts. Even though his girlfriend was in labour 200km away, he took the time to show us around the property and the local area. He even gave us a bottle of bubble as we were there for our wedding anniversary in addition to a huge bowl of fruit. The Trulli itself was charming and fully equipped, there were even English speaking DVD's for when we wanted to have an evening in. Not within walking distance to Martina Franca as (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps had lead us to believe but only a 10 minutes car drive to the old centre with a large supermarket on the way. The Trulli is very well located for sightseeing and an ideal base for having a vacation with an authentic flavour of this part of Puglia. A perfect end to our tour of Italy.

Daniel met us at an easy-to-find location in Martina Franca and was kind enough to lead us to a grocery store before directing us to Trullo Magnolia. He took a lot of time showing us around the property and gave us a bottle of wine & lovely basket of fruit, both of which were greatly appreciated. We were immediately impressed with the property, which is located 10 minutes outside of lovely Martina Franca (which has a fantastic late evening passegiata). The grounds are beautiful, complete with lots of cacti, olive & almond trees, lavender and wild herbs everywhere. The swimming pool is very large (and very warm in July), and the outdoor amenities are excellent (poolside bathrom/shower, lounge chairs, umbrellas, outdoor dining furniture, barbecue). The trullo was restored to a very high standard about 5 years ago. Furniture is from Ikea, both stylish and comfortable. The kitchen amenities are terrific, and offer everything one could need. The bathrooms are also well appointed, complete with a washer and dryer. The property is a 30 minute drive to a number of wonderful villages such as Lotorotondo, Cisternino, and touristy but fascinating Alberobello. Ostuni, and the Grotte di Castellana are both a 45 minute drive and definitely worth visiting as well. A variety of beaches, both on the Ionian and Adriatic Seas are a 30-60 minute drive away. When we stayed there in late July 2013 our neighbors were a very nice Dutch-Italian family who live in Amsterdam. They enjoyed their stay last year so much that they returned. We too would like to return and highly recommend a stay!

Davvero ottimo e consigliato.
