A wonderful relaxing stay for the weekend. We really felt like we were "away from it all". The property and surrounds are well maintained and our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, even taking our son on a tractor ride! The old barn is charming and well equipped. A very enjoyable break.

We only had 2 nights, but wanted to stay longer. A truly welcoming host, a better equipped kitchen than my own and a wonderful location which we would have loved to make more use of, walks around the property etc. Our host was really helpful and provided a good solution for the sleeping arrangement for our kids. Our host had kindly left essentials for a lovely breakfast in the fridge, and was very kind in making sure we had everything we needed, including recommendations of suitable places to eat locally suitable for our kids. Definitely a place that would suit for a longer stay as well as the quick visit we had, with so many things to do in the vicinity. I couldn't recommend the Old Barn highly enough.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Barn. Juliette was welcoming and even set out breakfast and tea supplies. The apartment was as stated and was very comfortable. My kids loved the hills above the house and spent hours outside. We really enjoyed our stay.

Juliette and her husband were very welcoming and went above and beyond accommodating us. The Old Barn is lovely and will make you feel right at home. The surrounding countryside is tranquil with beautiful views and walking paths. This was our favourite place to stay during our trip to Ireland. We stayed three nights and found many interesting things to do in the vicinity.

I cannot write enough about how fantastic Juliette was and how much my family loved staying at the Old Barn. Both she and her husband were extremely warm and welcoming, and the place is absolutely lovely. Juliette set out milk, eggs, bread, butter, jam, tea and coffee for when we arrived so we wouldn't have to worry about grocery shopping right away. Located in the countryside, this is THE place to stay if you want to have a quiet place to relax but be close to towns and family attractions.

Sorry Melissa, I overlooked your review. I love it when people enjoy the essence of our place....the beauty and the tranquility in particular. It was great having you here. Wonderful that somebody living that close can still really get the benefits! Warm regards, Juliette

Juliette and Jim are certainly the finest hosts I've had the pleasure to meet. We had a lovely time at their old family farm - so much so that we eliminated a few other events from our trip to head back and walk along the trails. I look forward to coming back.

As I only joined Airbnb late March 2016, I can't give you any information about my experiences with Airbnb yet. What I can tell you is that we will make your stay with us unique and enjoyable! We will leave you a small welcome pack with some items like coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and a few basic items for breakfast and tourist information about things to do in the area. Jim and I will be very happy to point out any interesting things to do and see on our own property (95 acres of wood and farmland) and in our area(URL HIDDEN)
After a life changing experience in the late autumn 2014 we started Holistic Retreat Centre Embrace on our 95 acres property in rural County Down, Northern Ireland, as we live in a place where you can retreat, relax and restore from the stresses of daily life.
Our own location will appeal to many.....from those who like beautiful scenery, walking, cycling, gardens (3 National Trust properties 10-40 minutes' drive), bird -watching, fishing, peace and quiet, to anyone who likes exploring the nearby villages, restaurants, christian heritage, leisure facilities and local tourist attractions.
Our orchard "garden" with apple trees and berries, is available exclusively for guests. Private parking. We are 25 minutes' drive from Belfast City (George Best)airport and 45 minutes from International airport.
We ourselves love travelling, but generally do not go back to somewhere we have been before, as we love exploring new things. We like getting a flavour of the culture and the people of the country we're in, so generally don't go to very touristy areas.
