The space

You can enjoy the lights of the illuminated Parliament from the window, but the skyline also includes a beautiful view over the Gellért Hill, some of the Danube bridges and at winter time even the Royal Palace and Matthias Church in the Castle.

Its location, features and panorama makes the flat perfect for a romantic getaway. However, under the main (queen-size) double there is another pull-out bed which makes it also suitable for families or friends traveling together. Maximum capacity: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 kids.

Please find some further relevant information in the House Rules.

Guest access

- Washing machine, iron
- Refrigerator, dishwasher
- Electric kettle, blender, microwave oven
- Airconditioning
- Flatscreen TV
- WiFi internet access

Bed linen, towels and hairdryer are also provided and you will find natural cosmetics (like toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo etc) in the bathroom.

The studio opens from a typical Budapestian open corridor terrace, where we share a nice sitting area with the neighboring flat. Feel free to sit there, have breakfast, read a book while enjoying the amazing panorama ;)

Interaction with guests

One of the things I really like about Airbnb is to meet local people when I go somewhere. If you are alike minded, let me know. We can spend some time together, sit in for a coffee or something.

My boyfriend and I live a few minutes away from the studio. We love this neighborhood and are more than happy to tell you about the best places or show you around a bit, if you are interested ;)

The neighbourhood

The flat is situated on the Buda side, very close to the Danube bank and thus it has a great access to all major tourist attractions in town. The location is ideal if you want to stay close to the center of both Buda and Pest, yet prefer to have peace during the night and are curious to see a lesser-known aspect of Budapest. Stroll around the hilly neighboring streets of the Rózsadomb area and enjoy the atmosphere. You may see great examples of Bauhaus architecture, as well as old Art-Nouveau buildings.

Closeby, you can find:
- Gül Baba's tomb, Ottoman monument also a great viewpoint
- A few gorgeous breakfast places
- Small antique/vintage shops and art galleries
- Local market on Széna tér
- Thermal water pools in Lukács, Király and Veli Bej Bath
- Kids playground and family programs at Millenáris Park
- Hungarian craft and food shops, designer market once a month in winter
- Shopping centers with cinemas
- Two free rubberized running tracks, a few gyms, swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, ice rinks and many more if you don’t want to miss sports when on holidays.

Getting around

Main tram lines (4 and 6) have a stop only a few minutes away. At the same place, you can also get on HÉV 5 (direct access to the picturesque town of Szentendre and the entrance gate of Sziget Festival). Széll Kálmán tér (former Moszkva Square), Buda’s biggest public transport hub (including the red metro, line 2) is an easy 10 minutes walk.

The studio has a very convenient access to all Budapest venues of the 17th FINA World Championships. The high diving and waterpolo event venues are actually both within walking distance (10-20 minutes).

- 5 minutes walk to Margaret Bridge
- 10 minutes walk to Lukács, Király and Veli Bej Bath
- 15 minutes to Buda Castle
- 25 minutes to Gellért Bath
- 10 minutes to Nyugati Railway Station
- Cafes, bakeries, delis, restaurants 5-10 minutes away
- Bars and Clubs 15 minutes

Other things to note

Where possible, I am trying to use eco friendly cleaning and washing products.

I am a cat owner. Please let me know if you have any serious allergy to cat hair, so I can be prepared with the washing accordingly.

An amazing apt in a wonderful part of town. Zsuzsi is an excellent host. She went above and beyond to welcome me and make me feel at home. Since this was a long stay (6 weeks) it really felt like a home away from home. The apartment was immaculate, I felt safe, the neighbours are friendly and the location is perfect! It is just far enough away from noise and yet close to everything. Not to forget the amazing view and perfect for daydreaming while drinking tea (or wine) Although I had a transit pass it was easy to walk anywhere in town or Margit Island. Highly recommend anyone (or couple) staying here.

I should start by saying that our stay at Zsuzsi's flat was the best travelling accommodation experience both my girlfriend and I have ever had. 110% perfect. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, more helpful and easygoing host to greet us upon arriving in Budapest. Zsuzsi made us feel instantly welcome and gave us some essential tips for the city that we wouldn't have found in our guide books. A true local, she has an expansive and enthusiastic knowledge of her city and this really helped us enhance our experience of this amazing place. The flat exceeded our expectations also. A lot more spacious than the photos indicate and you couldn't hope for better facilities/appliances in terms of ease and efficiency. Clean, airy with a cool modern décor and this with the additional stunning view of Pest and its crowning feature, the majestic looking Parliament building, making it a pleasure to spend time there relaxing - the air-conditioning providing perfect respite from the intense August heat. Little things like a comfortable bed, complimentary coffee poured from a Tassimo maker every morning, 100% security of your possessions (Zsuzsi informed us that Hungarians are big on locks!), an attentive but in no way overbearing host, perfect cleanliness and everything working perfectly. All this stuff is what can go toward making a trip perfect and Zsuzsi's flat did this for us. We will be staying here on our next visit to Budapest. Amazing!

Spent 12 nights with two friends in Zsuzsi's appartment. The appartment was beautiful (the view is even better when you're there), is located in the centre of Buda, is clean and has very nice details. Zsuzsi was an amazing host: very nice and informant. Everything was arranged and Zsuzsi was very helpful with things like the transportation to/from the airport and the hotspots in BP. The airconditioning was a huge plus because of the heatwave. We had a great time and we're definitely going to visit this lovely place again!

Zsuzsi was an amazing host and the studio was fantastic! She went out of her way to accommodate us and give us helpful suggestions about places to see and things to do. She met us at the train station to greet us, and called a cab for us to get to the train station. We loved the studio; amazing views and everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely pleasant stay in Buda. Unit is on the 3/F which is 4/F by US standard. A small elevator takes you and your heavy luggages up to the unit. Zsuzsi welcomes you with a bottle of wine. There was heat wave so the aircon is a comfortable relief. There are coffee pods for morning breakfast or otherwise. Kitchen has all the essentials. The unit's interior design is well-thought of with modern quality fixtures and furnitures. There's a small dishwasher. Thankful for the washing machine and clothes drying rack--a big help for us. Bed is comfy firm for us and not springy if someone tosses and turns when sleeping. The unit is well secured. The door has bolts and double bars that locks securely across. Best of all the view of the Parliament, especially at night is like your live LCD TV or big picture frame on the wall. Location is on the hilly side so if you are fit consider as an exercise. Bus#91 that stops nearby, and some 8 minutes away is the tram line. Zsuzsi would check if everything is going well and would even advise you to be prepared for any impending storm. At our arrival she arranged for her brother and sis-in-law to meet and orient us and answer our questions. Thank you, Zsuzsi, for a pleasant stay at your chic apt in Budapest and for making the effort to meet us personally.

Staying at Zsuzsi´s place was definitely a dream coming true. I was full of great expectations and I was 100% satisfied. Zsuzsi is a helpful, happy woman. Told me everything about the neighborhood, where to go, what to see... her flat is fabulous. Cozy, clear, quiet, secure. The perfect starting place whereever you want to go. If I had the possibility, I would gladly spend there the rest of my life :-)

I love art, sports and time spent with friends.
After a year in the lovely Edinburgh, Scotland where I volunteered at a fair trade shop and some travels around the globe, I have recently moved back to my amazing hometown, Budapest.
I frankly think this city has a lot to offer and there's plenty to discover. Good vibes, interesting art scene and some seriously good dining options with excellent wines! Having a veggie boyfriend I know a few nice vegetarian places as well.
My boyfriend, Mariusz is a Polish graphic designer living with me here in BP. You may be lucky enough to meet him, too :)
