About this listing
You just found a nice and compact little apartment with fantastic panorama to Budapest ;) It was thoroughly refurbished recently and it is fully equipped.
You can enjoy the lights of the illuminated Parliament from the window, but the skyline also includes a beautiful view over the Gellért Hill, some of the Danube bridges and at winter time even the Royal Palace and Matthias Church in the Castle.
Its location, features and panorama makes the flat perfect for a romantic getaway. However, under the main (queen-size) double there is another pull-out bed which makes it also suitable for families or friends traveling together. Maximum capacity: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 kids.
Please find some further relevant information in the House Rules.

Interaction with guests
One of the things I really like about Airbnb is to meet local people when I go somewhere. If you are alike minded, let me know. We can spend some time together, sit in for a coffee or something.
My boyfriend and I live a few minutes away from the studio. We love this neighborhood and are more than happy to tell you about the best places or show you around a bit, if you are interested ;)
The flat is situated on the Buda side, very close to the Danube bank and thus it has a great access to all major tourist attractions in town. The location is ideal if you want to stay close to the center of both Buda and Pest, yet prefer to have peace during the night and are curious to see a lesser-known aspect of Budapest. Stroll around the hilly neighboring streets of the Rózsadomb area and enjoy the atmosphere. You may see great examples of Bauhaus architecture, as well as old Art-Nouveau buildings.
Closeby, you can find:
- Gül Baba's tomb, Ottoman monument also a great viewpoint
- A few gorgeous breakfast places
- Small antique/vintage shops and art galleries
- Local market on Széna tér
- Thermal water pools in Lukács, Király and Veli Bej Bath
- Kids playground and family programs at Millenáris Park
- Hungarian craft and food shops, designer market once a month in winter
- Shopping centers with cinemas
- Two free rubberized running tracks, a few gyms, swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, ice rinks and many more if you don’t want to miss sports when on holidays.
Main tram lines (4 and 6) have a stop only a few minutes away. At the same place, you can also get on HÉV 5 (direct access to the picturesque town of Szentendre and the entrance gate of Sziget Festival). Széll Kálmán tér (former Moszkva Square), Buda’s biggest public transport hub (including the red metro, line 2) is an easy 10 minutes walk.
The studio has a very convenient access to all Budapest venues of the 17th FINA World Championships. The high diving and waterpolo event venues are actually both within walking distance (10-20 minutes).

I love art, sports and time spent with friends.
After a year in the lovely Edinburgh, Scotland where I volunteered at a fair trade shop and some travels around the globe, I have recently moved back to my amazing hometown, Budapest.
I frankly think this city has a lot to offer and there's plenty to discover. Good vibes, interesting art scene and some seriously good dining options with excellent wines! Having a veggie boyfriend I know a few nice vegetarian places as well.
My boyfriend, Mariusz is a Polish graphic designer living with me here in BP. You may be lucky enough to meet him, too :)
