An historic Gate House built as the entrance to the Bishop of Wells's Palace when he moved to Somerset to escape the Plague. Perfect home for a relaxing break with a stunning walled garden on the edge of the churchyard. Very quiet! Plenty of great walks and sites to visit in the area. There is a local ginger cat who visits the house. He is very sweet but not mine! (People have asked) He makes himself at home if the door is left open and is very friendly! :-)
There is a large sitting room with log burner. Perfect hang out on a winters day. Family sized kitchen finished with granite work tops and a wooden kitchen table. Electric range oven. Downstairs loo. Three good sized double bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one with shower one with bath. There is also a lovely big garden and parking for three cars.
There is one car space in front of house next to the arch on the right and two-three spaces in the drive way jutting into the garden.
Interaction with guests
I am always just on the other end of the phone but if you need someone to come in, it can be arranged.
Other things to note
We have parking for 3 cars in the driveway which is in the garden and one more space at the end of the private lane, just before the archway, in front of our side of gatehouse.
No shoes upstairs.
No parties please
