The cottage is part of a historic gate house that was once the entrance to the Bishop of Wells's Palace, when he moved to Somerset to escape the Plague. The Roman Arch is listed in the Dooms Day book. Very relaxing vibe, perfect for a country break with a superb walled garden on the edge of churchyard. Very quiet! Plenty of great walks and sites to visit in the area.
