I would really avoid staying here for longer than a weekend stay, depending on how much you're willing to put up with. I was looking for an Airbnb that could function as a living space while I was beginning a new job in the city, but this place did not fit the bill. The room felt…
Response from William:
Hello Maia, I'm sorry there seemed to be a bug problem during your stay. If you had at any point contacted us regarding it we would have sent someone over straight away. Unfortunately those are problems that are continually battled in the city in some parts, we just wish you had said something at any point. Otherwise, I appreciate your feedback. Normally I check in the guests and fully clean the spaces before each guest. I will have to make sure my co-hosts do the same. This was an exception wherein I rented out the room because I am moving. For readers, yes, this is a room that someone lives in part-time. This is not a hotel. Airbnbs come in many forms, and this one is priced appropriately to what it is, and I do not charge more than what covers the rent of a normal tenant - IE I do not profit from this, it is not a job, it is a room, that is available for cheap, in a very cool part of Brooklyn. As for there not being much to do in the neighborhood, there are tons of bars and restaurants in walking distance, as well as a museum and the botanical gardens, Prospect Park is close by, a brewing school is nearby...etc. Anyway, thank you for the feedback and your stay.
Will did a great job getting the place ready for me with such short notice. I really appreciated that because my reservations were very last minute. He was also very flexible with me at check in/check out which I truly am thankful for. I enjoyed all of the nice restaurants and pu…
I am a quiet professional working in managing a couple of indie theatres in the East Village. I like beer and salmon and documentaries. I can't live without my laptop or my phone, my journal, my hoodie, or my towel. I travel and do theatre and judge home brew.
