We are central to Los Angeles land marks such as Mulholland drive, Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Blvd. But with out having to be in the thick of it. From our home you can literally see the Universal Studio Sign! Many cool places in the area to explore.

The space

In response to some reviews this is an downstairs living space, which means although it is a private whole apartment you are separated from the upstairs by a door which locks on your side. We have a very comfortable futon with your own private living area. As well as a California king size bed. There is a kitchenette with stove, pots and pans, laundry machines for and a private bathroom. The backyard can be accessed on request

Guest access

You have a separate door that leads to the living area, kitchen, laundry and bathroom. We ask that the upstairs be avoided when possible. We also have wifi available.

Interaction with guests

We are more then happy to help recommend places, give tips on what to do or assist in any thing extra you may be interested in.

Other things to note

We have two small dogs, then generally do not bark with the guest entrance door but some times do bark when we use the main door. They are very friendly, do not shed on the downstairs furniture and you may not even see them during your stay. Also there are a lot of stairs leading from the street to the house.

Excellent location for Universal Studios. Parking at Studios is $20 so you can park higher up the hill from home on street for free and walk across in 10-15mins ( although maybe too far for young children). Tara's home was lovely to stay in for family of 4. Kids slept well on sofa bed. Master bed is huge and very comfortable with great view of Universal City. Lovely touch to have basic food and drink available in kitchen. Washing Machine and Dryer available also made our stay helpful. We ate at Miceli's down on Cahuenga Bld W/ Regal Place. Although pricey the atmosphere and food was great with singing waiters serving Italian food. Highly recommended for the experience. This is a great Airbnb for easy access to Universal and Hollywood. It's on a quiet street in residential area. Also nice and close to 101 Freeway for quick access across town and easy get away north towards San Francisco. Place was clean, well equipped and comfortable 2 night stay for young family.

Taras place was cute and perfect for a 2 day city visit. The apartment was so clean and thoughtfully laid out for guests. We didnt get to meet Tara but her mother let us in late in to the evening and was very sweet. Tara was also excellent at communicating with us on any querys we had. would stay here again when back in LA!!!

Lovely little apartment. Bed comfortable fit all three of us. Great location, not to far from Hollywood and Beverley hills.

If you're planning a trip to Universal Studios then, location wise, Tara's flat is perfect - it's only a 20 minute walk away! The flat itself was lovely - clean and bright, and we really appreciated the small touches like the toiletries in the bathroom and snacks and breakfast goodies left in the fridge. The bed was super comfy and big (so suitable for 2 friends sharing!) We unfortunately didn't get to meet Tara but we had a warm welcome from her Mum. This has been mentioned in other reviews, but the space is separated from the main house by just a curtain in one place. This didn't bother us at all but just something to note. The flat itself is situated on a really nice, quiet street which felt very safe. Thank you Tara!

Tara's home was a wonderful decision for my family. Everything felt like we were at home! Tara's mom was very welcoming and helped us out when we had questions. I've read complaints on the bed but I thought it was really comfortable. Tara also had some snacks waiting for us. There are some stairs leading up to the house but it really wasn't too bad. Also, about a $5 uber ride to Universal which isn't bad at all. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was in such a beautiful neighborhood, I loved the home this unit is in... super pretty. There were a few things that were different than the current photos, there’s a little bistro table in the family room rather than a desk. Also, there was a bit of trouble with the master bed. I don’t know if the bed was broken or the mattress, it sloped pretty dramatically where your head lays. Not a deal breaker but, something to note. The host was kind enough to leave some toiletries in the bathroom just in case we had forgotten anything.

I'm a fun loving person, I live to travel and have new experiences. I love wine, good food, and great coffee! Finding local spots to try out and experiencing new things are the main reasons I travel. I like to be open, welcoming and as zen as possible!
