Susan was very flexible with the whole checking process. We were provided with all the necessary items and few perks as well. She was really welcoming and offered us free firewood for camp fire. Another day she even offered breakfast ( pancakes, fruits and coffee). Overall the place was very well kept cleanliness wise. She was very helpful in suggesting us few nearby places and provided us with maps and brochures. We loved our stay. Weather was perfect. Yes, we promised her to visit it again for sure. Thank you so much airbnb and Susan for a memorable stay.

Despite arriving a little later on in the evening, Susan met us on arrival and quickly got us set up with fire wood and a pan so we could cook our dinner. The cabin was near to all the facilities and Susan had provided clean sleeping bags and extra blankets for us, so despite visiting in November we were plenty warm enough. Thanks for the stay!

Beautiful campground in the Hammond Hill National Forest area. Susan was very prompt to communicate with us as we were rolling into town and helped us get acquainted very quickly. She provided useful maps for hiking available right from outside the campground gate. The atmosphere was overall charming, clean and welcoming and gave a welcome change from the State Park camping experience we had the night before. While our camping stays elsewhere were neighborly, we sat on top of each other. Not here, plenty of space. Complimentary pancakes, oatmeal coffee, etc cooked on an open flame accompanied with good conversation from guests topped off the experience.

We loved Susan and her place, a perfect host she chatted with us and provided a nice fire pit, wood from her forest to make a fire, forks and plates from the kitchen, a nice bed with soft clean sheets. The first word that comes about the whole magical experience is peace. We stayed one night and left with the taste of her hot pumpernickel pancakes right of the griddle on the

Susan User ProfileSusan is a superhost.

Susan has spent her life designing inclusive program for adults and children to connect them with nature. In 2002 she purchase a beautiful parcel of land (aka Camp Earth Connection) adjacent to the Hammond Hill Forest, near Ithaca, NY and created her own children's summer camps to bring children from urban areas and from disenfranchised communities to the country to connect them with nature.

Camp Earth Connection is committed to Diversity, Acceptance and Community. In 2010 she also initiated the first Healing Hearts Women's Retreat on this sacred land. In 2016 Susan opened a small "Natural Campground." The campground is designed to give each guest privacy and the opportunity to experience nature in its wildest setting. A variety of camping options are available.

Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility. Susan wants to give people the opportunity to find peace, solace and comfort in the natural setting here on Hammond Hill.
She hopes you will visit her this season, and is sure you won't be disappointed. Susan is grateful to live in this beautiful space and would like you to experience the peace and tranquility that it brings to her and others who visit. Susan's special co-director is her Brittany Spaniel, Taz. He will be overly pleased to meet you too.
