Fantastic location for busy holiday. I didn't want to spend lots on a central hotel as I knew I'd be out a lot. This place was very basic but very Central so everywhere I went was walkable. Lovely hosts, great space.

It's a lovely place to stay but you do need to be tolerant of a little bit of noise during the night as all the walls are very thin. I really enjoyed it as a budget stay. Really wonderful hosts

Stayed for a single night only and didn't have a good sleep at all. I knew there would be no ceiling, but I didn't expect to be surrounded by other people from 3 sides out of four. In such an environment you hear absolutely EVERYTHING. Not being a sensitive sleeper, I struggled to have any sleep at all. Also I was probably a bit unlucky with my pod being next to the entrance door, so I could hear people coming in and out, but it's impossible to be far from the entrance or from the bathroom anyway. In addition, the "office" is located in the same space and doesn't have any ceiling either, so you could hear everything going on there. In my case a guy who sat there that night was munching on pistachio nuts and I could hear every single crack (it was at midnight). Not to mention that the heating was at full throttle and it was hot and stuffy. Having said that, the hosts were friendly, the bathroom was clean and there was a lounge with sofas, wifi and some free food. Still, what I really needed was a decent sleep and I didn't get that.

Wonderful location! Great hospitality, also if you have the chance to volunteer with the food distribution , I highly recommend lending a hand! Thanks Alex and Zina !

Alex and Zina are wonderful hosts - very warm, kind and welcoming. They provide breakfast (different types of cereal, bread, fruit, etc.) and I very much appreciated the fact that I could leave my bags with them and have a shower after I had already checked out. The location is super central and ideal for the travellers (like myself) who like to walk! The rooms are small, with a comfy bed and enough storage space (they have no outside window and natural light as they are situated in one big warehouse style room which is well aired). I would recommend it to my friends and would stay there again.

Had a brilliant 7 night stay here. The rooms are very small but functional, and having your own (locking) room in a hostel is pretty fantastic. Toilets were kept very clean throughout my stay, and were well stocked (2 showers/2 sinks/3 cubicles). The Breakfast area is an amazing touch, and having a space to relax in/sit in was lovely. Also the provided breakfast food options were great! Alex is fantastic, he was incredibly warm and helpful. I never had any worries while there. There is always someone at the office, and 24 hour access was very welcome. Location is absolutely perfect. Easy to find and incredibly central, but also not too noisy. Penn Station is a few minutes walk uptown, then the 28th street 1 Subway station is very close. Great food options nearby (Pizza Suprema is fantastic if you want a slice, and only a block away). I do advise using earplugs, unless you are a very heavy sleeper. Doors closing can be surprisingly loud, as the room is actually very quiet. Was kept nicely cool (air con) and the wifi (and wifi coverage) was good. All in all, I would heartily recommend it for anyone visiting the city, especially for short trips. Incredible value, a calm atmosphere to escape the chaos of the city and lovely warm and friendly people running it. May well return in the future!

Hospitality: Jeremy was so kind and friendly. Space: The common space is full of fresh fruits, coffee and tea, milk, sunflower seed butter, etc. It's got nice vibe to do work too on laptops and stuff :) Downside: Pods, as expected have no ceilings so you can basically hear every little noise. Location: BOMB. So central! Overall: Great location and vibe.
