We think good food is important and also believe in supporting local business so source our ingredients from quality local suppliers where ever possible. We buy our delicious bacon and high quality home made sausages from our local butcher and usually bake our own bread , our eggs are always free range and in season they come from our own little hens or are sourced locally. Jams and preserves are home made and everything is cooked freshly for you each morning as we support the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign so try and cook portions and meals to suit your needs. We also try to be environmentally friendly by recycling as much of our waste as possible and kindly ask our guests to do the same.

Other things to note
The Brecon Beacons is in a Dark Skies reserve and is also an area of outstanding national beauty. Its a great area for walking, sightseeing, and offers a host of outdoor adventures as well as having an amazing selection of events and festivals throughout the year from music to food, sport to history and craft to vintage with something to cover all tastes. We are just an hours drive from Bristol, Cardiff and Hereford and within half an hour of Waterfall Country and the beautiful town of Hay on Wye.
No one likes too many rules but shutting the gates is really important, to keep the dogs in and the sheep out so we hope you don't mind. Check in is usually between 3.00 and 9.00 but we can usually be flexible if you may be a bit later arriving just give us a call to sort it out. Check out is by 10.30 am please unless we have arranged otherwise so we can sort things out for the next guests and get our jobs done. We are really happy to welcome children of all ages and love to see them interacting with the chickens but just want to make you aware we do have a pond and some steps in the garden so you will need to take care with little ones. and finally we ask people to remember that the Studio is part of our home, where our own family stay when they come to visit and so ask that you treat it accordingly, thanks.
