We came up to stay in Leahs's tree house on our way between Sequioa (where we got engaged!) Ann dour road trip back to San Francisco, having ealier stayed in Kernville. The cabin is basic (no tv or wifi) so remeber to prepare. And take mpzzy plug ins. It's beautifully quiet with…

Allow me to begin with mentioning the positive aspects of this experience: the cabin is indeed rustic and woodsy, the bathroom and bedroom are very clean, and the fireplace is a delightful way to unwind at the end of the day (in fact the fireplace's existence was the highlight of…

Response from Leah:
First let me say we have had three major fires surrounding the area and back roads were fine in the summer until three major fires surrounded Camp Nelson last week forcing highways and traffic to be re routed. I can not predict mother nature. One guest insisted I refund their money because it rained! I am appalled at how guests still do not read the very important check in instructions. As it was obvious Julien had not read them when he called from the Cafe. My check in instructions are serious business to me and caps are necessary for those who can not follow the cabin rules. Like cigarette ashes all over the deck etc... The last guest before Julien had trashed the sofa and I have never seen it left in that condition. I immediately ordered a sofa cover and it should be there for the next guest. The cabin guests have broken every nice thing that I have put in the cabin for comfort. Even stolen my extra blankets and burned up every new pan I replace. I have added more heavy curtains as well for warmth and the key lock box. That took 2 weeks to get in the mail up here. If you prefer a conventional place to stay do not come to a forest cabin. This is not the comfort inn with room service and all the bells and whistles as the price is set accordingly. This is a rustic forestry cabin that I have spent allot of money to put a wonderful french tub in with all new plumbing so that it can be used in the winter. Now the tub is a complaint to my shock and surprise! Everyone else is in love with this tub and my cabin! Its brand new and has a hand held shower head for those who wish to have a shower. I am sorry that the fires ruined your arrival plans Julien and then in returned left you feeling discouraged. Thank you anyway and have a better rest of the summer. Cabin Owner, Leah

Leah's place is great, I'd definitely recommend it for a getaway in the woods. You can tell she keeps it as clean as possible, so respect the space. A handyman came in the middle of the day to fix something, and the backdoor needs some extra turning to lock. Pay attention to her …

Leah’s cabin is ideal for those who want to get a disconnection. You are in a tiny cabin in pure silence. Her cabin is perfectly set up for the cold weather. My fiancé and I went during summer and we wish we had visited during the colder months. Very quiet and secluded. Clean and…
