A cozy little apartment with a great view over Genova and the sea.
A great place if you want to stay away from crowds in a peaceful countryside atmosphere.

The space

A cozy little apartment with a great view over Genova and the sea. Simple and artsy.
One bed-room with a big double-bed, a studio with a pull-out sofa, kitchen, one bathroom, and a small living-room where you can have your meals enjoying the view on the city and sea. The bathroom is equipped with basin, bidet, wc, shower and washing machine.
The apartment has windows on all sides, so it’s very bright. The windows on the front face southwest and have a fabulous view over the city of Genova, the sea and the mountains of ponente. The second window of the studio faces the green hill southeast and the kitchen window has a nice view on the little colored houses of the neighborhood.
The access is on the backside of the house, through stairs from a little porch where I grow plants and flowers. On the frontside of the building I have a garden where I grow vegetables.
It’s a former rural building, now residential, furnished with a lot of fantasy and restored furniture. The floors have the original typical tiles in red/black/beige.
Very quiet, it’s the last building of the group of houses, so it’s not isolated but has a lot of privacy. It can be reached by foot through a small creuza (10 min from the main square of Apparizione).
A great place if you want to stay away from crowds in a peaceful countryside atmosphere. Still you are near the city and can reach it in 20/30 min by car or public transport. It's a place for those who are not afraid to walk a bit, but you'll be rewarded by the fabulous views over the city and sea.

Guest access

As this is my home I rent when I'm away the house is fully equipped with bed linen and towels, kitchen dishes and cooking tools, books, art and photography volumes, CD's and DVD's. You will feel at home!

Interaction with guests

When I'm not in town my mother takes care of my guests, she also speaks fluently English, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Other things to note

My sweet little black cat lives in the house, he is very shy so probably he won't interact a lot, but if you're allergic or you don't like cats it's not the right place for you!

We arrived at Claudia's beautiful place in the evening. A place that has all you need and more for a good stay. We felt at home immediately. The climb was very doable. Within 10 minutes we walked from were we parked our car (Via Monte Fasce) to the front door (after a few days those decreased to 5 min ). Claudia's sweet and enthusiastic mother Karla welcomed us with open arms and guided us while informing us about everything we needed to know. It was a real pleasure to have her as our contact person. The house, filled with beautiful storytelling objects and clearly decorated with love, is located on the hill with a beautiful view on the sea. It is a little paradise within a grand paradise called Genova and a great starting point from where we could reach many villages and cities. From here we drove to Genova (beach, center and Harbour - 15 min. drive) Moneglia (adorable little coast village with beautiful church Santa Croc - 1 hr drive), Nervi (gorgeous coastal village with amazing, red carpet boulevard and nice restaurants - 20 min. drive) Milan (must see city - 2 hr drive), Noli (beautiful coastal village with great beach - 1 hr/10 min. drive), Finale Ligure (beautiful coastal village with lovely center to shop and eat out - 1 hr/20 min. drive. From Noli 20 min.), Di Toirano (Grotte di Toirano one of the most beautiful caves of Europe - 1hr/30 min. drive) and Baldissero Canavese (Damanhur spiritual community with amazing temples - 2 hr inland drive). We even entertained the idea of visiting the north of Tuscany, which was only a 2,5 drive, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time left. We recommend Claudia's place to everyone who loves an authentic, homely and serene stay. Kimberly & Josef

We booked 5 nights at Claudia's beautiful little home in Genoa and it was amazing, so good that we stayed 2 extra nights. Extremely charming with its rustic, well travelled decor and interior. Perfect for two people. The view alone is a stand out of the Italian coastline. With everything you need to stay secluded with a couple of local shops, cafes and restaurants or get out and about in the city by bus. We managed to get to the beaches by bus and train, you just get a ticket to the beach you want to relax at! So easy and super cheap, roughly 10 euro (return) for two people. Regular buses to the city make it easy to enjoy different activities that Genoa has to offer, with charming streets and shops, museums (Currently exhibiting Modigliani!). We decided to cook most of our meals as the produce available was great price and the accommodation is made for seclusion and nights in of homemade food and relaxing and enjoying the view, sipping on a glass of Italian wine or Aperol Spritz (which we had many!) Could not speak more highly of our experience at Claudia's and how helpful she was with her communication! Also Wifi is terrific here. Rhys x p

Claudia's home is absolutely beautiful and the views are exquisite. Claudia was traveling when we visited, but her mother lives nearby and was a wonderful host. She helped us arrange a taxi and helped us figure out the bus system. It is a little bit of a hike, but we thought it was totally worth it.
