This lovely cottage, "The Artist Cottage" is located on the 20
acre private property of the historic Springwood Inn, the 1882 home of Anniston's founder, Samuel Noble. The cottage is attractive and has a full kitchen that has been completely renovated, a laundry room, living room with fireplace, small front porch, and a back porch with outdoor table and chairs. Fully furnished, some antiques. The grounds have beautiful gardens and a magnificent view. Older tennis court on site.
This cottage has total privacy and yet is only about 7 minutes from downtown Anniston. The property surrounding Springwood Inn is filled with many dogwoods, magnolias, crape myrtles, and flowers of all types. There is a walking hike through the woods on the property going down to a lovely pond and an older tennis court sits across from the cottage. There is plenty of space to keep bikes.
Guests of Springwood's Artist Cottage have much space to explore on this wonderful 20 acre site. The owners are happy to drive bike riders to Anniston's bike trails if needed. Plenty of parking space is available on Springwood's private acreage. Being surrounded by beauty, tranquiity, and privacy, yet still very close to downtown, this cottage is very special in what it has to offer.

Because our Artist Cottage is located on the property of our home, Springwood Inn, we are generally available to answer questions or concerns of our guests.
This cottage is on private property on the lower part of a mountain, surrounded by lovely gardens, woods, and a pond. The view from the front of this 20 acres looks out to Mt. Cheaha, Alabama's highest mountain.
Much parking is available on property and total privacy for vehicles and bikes.
Other things to note
The owners are usually available to drive biking guests and their bikes to Anniston's bike trail if needed in a pickup truck they keep on property.
