After a bad start this turned out to be a wonderful cabin, or even house. When we came in there was no electricity, no running water and some beds were dirty as well as the kitchen. The house was partly filled with the smell of the biological toilet. So disappointment and irritation after a long drive. After some phone calls it turned out to be a Norwegian habit to turn off 1 of the fuses if the house is left, but in a way that you can’t see it if you open the fusebox. When we turned it on, a fan started which extracts air from the biological toilet in a way that if you sit on it, you feel the draught “down there”. This turned out to be very efficient, in half an hour the smell was gone. We found a valve under the cabin and now we had water as well. Important: No drinking water! The running water comes from a brook, and is a little brown from the peat around the lakes above. But it is fine for dishwashing and for the wonderful warm shower-with-a-view on the small private balcony. The cabin is quite remote, so the cleaning by the last tenant is not checked. We were obviously unlucky, after half an hour of cleaning beds and kitchen were acceptable. The cabin is pretty large, we stayed there with 3 children. The place and view are wonderful, it’s nice to row the boat at the lake. When it is colder you can fire the fireplace. I cannot describe why but eventually I fell a kind of in love with this place and have the feeling I would love to stay there longer than the week we did..

Not so strategic location for exploring the region but the isolation was a good experience for us living in a city. The shower with hot water outside was some more nature experience, but the smell of the WC is not fine. At night the only noise comes from an airco thing that holds the bad smell outside. You can turn this off and have a good sleep nut then the smell of the WC comes in full Force in the bathroom and even a little bit further. The boat in the lake is very fine for big kids although not so close to the house as we tought from the website foto's. Kitchen, sitting places, terras etc tip top. An d the general feeling of a wooden house is very fine.

Basic cabin in a very secluded area. A little hard to find, but great view from the terrace. We were very unfortunate with the weather, so we did not get to use the boat. It is probably much nicer when the sun shining. Beware, there is only an outdoor shower, but hot water and electricity is available.

Nice place with view on the lake. Waterfall nearby. Keep in mind that bedsheets, towels, toilet paper and cleaning are not included.

We went for a walk, swam near the waterfall and in the upper lake. We took the boat for a tour on the lake. The lake was a little bit further than we expected. The hytte is very nice and quiet. We had a great stay.
