Sunrise was once called Hastings Township and it operated as a town separate from Vancouver. It is Vancouvers' up and coming neighbourhood on the eastern edge bordering the City of Burnaby. We are home to a diverse multi ethnic population. We have BBQ, Italian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Malay, Mexican and vegan or cafe style food as well as pubs and breweries.

Hastings Sunrise is a trendy place that has retained its unique feel with locally owned coffee shops, craft breweries galore, Italian Delis, restaurants, neighbourhood pubs, swimming pools, gyms, Pilates and yoga studios, grocery stores, pharmacies, banks all within easy walking distance. Commercial Drive is a little farther - a forty minute walk, 15 minutes by car. Twenty minute drive to downtown. Many bus routes are less than five minute walk away and is generally faster than driving in traffic.

You can also walk in the Hastings Conservatory, Italian Garden, go to an event at the PNE, play a round of golf at the pitch ‘n’ putt, or check out the Farmers Market.
