The neighbourhood

You can rarely find a quiet spot located in the centre of Toronto. The house is in the Seaton Village, a family-oriented neighbourhood. Remarkably, this neighbourhood has managed to maintain the feel of a small town village, even though it is situated in a busy part of the city. Walking distance to trendy Ossington strip. Two blocks from beautiful Christie Pits Park where people go for strolls and picnics. Cafés, bars, restaurants, shopping, all within walking distance. A 5 min walk from Korea Town where you'll find the best Korean food in the city, as well as the Annex, a lively, university neighbourhood known for its old Victorian houses.

Getting around

Christie subway station and bus depot are a few minute away.
Getting in from:

Toronto Pearson International Airport:
Subway - Take the Toronto Pearson Express subway to Dundas Station, transfer to the Bloor Line, get off at Ossington Station. $22 CAD, 30 min.
Taxi - $50 - $60 CAD, 30 min.

Billy Bishop Airport:
Take street car #511 and Bloor Line Subway to Ossington Station $3 CAD, 30 min.

Union Station:
Subway - take the Yonge Line to Spadina Station, transfer to the Bloor Line, get off at Ossington Station, $3 CAD, 30 min.

Greyhound/Megabus Station:
Subway - take the Yonge Line to Spadina Station, transfer to the Bloor Line, get off at Ossington Station, $3 CAD, 30 min.

Getting around: Take the subway, bus, streetcar, Uber or taxi for easy access to the downtown core and further neighbourhoods.

Street parking is available with a temporary permit issued by the city ($9/day; $14/2 days; $23/week). It's easy to get one online, you just a need a printer. I also have a garage that you could park your car so just contact me for availability.

There is a pay parking lot across the street that also has Zip Car and Car2Go.

Other things to note

Located next to children's park in the Bloorcourt neighbourhood with tree-lined streets. Barthust subway station and bus depot are behind the house. Walking distance to trendy Barthust strip.

Zoe was very accommodating, even helping with me parking once it turned out that I had not read her useful instructions about purchasing a parking permit. The place is modern and clean, the bed comfortable, and Zoe a very helpful and respectful host.

Zoe is absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome from our first greeting. She welcomed us into her home upon our arrival, helped us carry our bags up the stairs to our room, made the bathroom private for us upon our request and offered us a refreshing cold drink and fresh fruit as we settled in. We enjoyed all encounters with Zoe, she was responsive to our requests and very respectful of our needs. We certainly appreciated the flexibility with checking-in and out!! Zoe's home is beautifully updated, with the unique charm of a Toronto Victorian home. The location is great...a short walk to Bloor street and the Christie Metro station, making it an ideal spot for easy access to the city. We enjoyed the coffee shops, restaurants and outdoor patios in the neighbourhood and felt completely safe in this community at all hours, day and night.
