Description

The space

Our home is located in Canton - about 3 blocks away from the water. We have a 4-story townhouse with a deck that overlooks the water, downtown Baltimore and the Johns Hopkins hospital. (email hidden) to spend an evening especially after a day of running around.
We have a basement that is ready to be used as your gym- including treadmill, eliptical, weight machine and a tv so you can work out to a movie and/or the news. Our first floor is a cozy livingroom which is open to you during your stay. There is also a nice sized kitchen that you can use to store food and cook any meals you would like. Our second floor will be all yours- there are 2 bedrooms with closets and tv's and 1 bathroom with a jetted tub and shower. You will either have the main bedroom to yourself with a shared bathroom if the other room is taken, or you can use both rooms - with the 2nd room being more of a den, where you can chill and read a book/watch tv or do yoga! The third floor is our floor and is private. Then of course, you have the deck which you can use at your leisure.
There is great space for you in our home; there is street parking for your car(s) and we also have a very loving and elderly golden retriever named Maggie (who is great with strangers, does not bark, and loves children). The photograph of Maggie was taken at a local restaurant, about 2 blocks away.
Our home is 1 block from Canton Square, the center of our neighborhood where you have a small park. Here you will find a wide variety of shops and restaurants, to include sushi/thai, seafood, Mexican and several with pub offerings and American Bistro. And for dessert - frozen yoghurt, gelatto and of course, Dangerously Delicious Pies - oh so very good!
The famed Baltimore Water Taxi has a stop just three blocks from our home, where you can go to Fells Point, Harbor East, Inner Harbor, Downtown, Federal Hill, Locust Point and Fort McHenry. There is also a beautiful waterfront walking path linking these neighborhoods that is perfect for walking, jogging or biking.
There are plenty of buses and taxi's right in our neighborhood if you do not have access to a car or do not want to walk. We are also a few miles off I-95 which is only about a 10-15 minute drive from BWI airport. We have maps and routes all ready for you. Our place really is in a great area as it is located next to all the main attractions of Baltimore City including the Convention Center, M&T Bank Stadium, and the Powerplant.
We look forward to having you with us and will be accessible for any questions/suggestions.

Guest access

There are 2 entrances available for use- either through the living room or the kitchen. We have our own living room and space on the 3rd floor. The guests have the entire 2nd floor- which includes sleeping space, sitting space and a private bathroom. Also- the 1st floor living room and kitchen is available for use. Guests can also use the basement with work out equipment or use the deck.

Interaction with guests

We are readily available for any of your needs. We live on the 3rd floor and are available for any questions or concerns. We give you your own space for privacy but are willing to be more interactive depending on your needs.

The neighbourhood

The neighborhood is great. The restaurants and park are a block away from us. A few blocks south- you will be at the water and have access to the water taxi which will take you to Fells point, Inner Harbor, Fort McHenry and is a beautiful way to spend the day.

Getting around

Parking is on the street; no permit parking or fees. We are 1 block from a public bus which can take you to Hopkins. We are also 3 blocks from the water taxi which can take you to Fells point, Harbor east, Inner Harbor, Federal Hill or Fort McHenry. There are plenty of taxis around our area; known as Canton square and there is always Uber. The great thing is that the area is highly walkable. There is a path along the water that you can take- connecting you to Fells point, Harbor East, Inner harbor, Federal Hill and Fort McHenry.

Other things to note

Our golden retriever is a lovely old girl.... 14 yo... She does not jump or bark. She sleeps all day and is very friendly. You could pet her all day if you wanted.

I can't recommend this more! The home is gorgeous and eclectic. The hosts are marvelous, interesting, accommodating and gracious. We enjoyed the space so much, we hated to leave. The photos on the walls spoke of the couple's open spirit. And The family pet is quite lovable. The area is an amazing area which is very close to Fells Point and Inner Harbor. But, the biggest surprise about the locale (for us) was the neighborhood where this house is situated. Eateries and pubs galore. It was a great, nourishing stay. We will come again, if they will have us.

We thoroughly enjoyed Siobain and Chris' home during our stay in Baltimore. The location is perfect, we were able to leave our car and walk to area restaurants each night. It was close to shopping areas too! They were gracious hosts, and let us know what was happening in Baltimore the week we were there. The house is beautifully decorated and we felt at home during our stay. It was great to come home each day and be greeted by their dog Maggie! We highly recommend their place and will definitely return!

This was a return for us to teh best Air B and B expereicne we have had - Even better than we remembered. So welcoming, spacious, beautifully appointed, friendly without being intrusive. Gorgeous artwork, great bedding, all the details. You are 2 minutes walk to the Square. Chris and Siobhan's place is the gold standard of low key personal hospitality

Great Place and great location- it had everything we wanted in a base place in Baltimore. We parked our car upon arriving and didn't get back in it til we were ready to leave Baltimore. Rooftop deck was great too!! We look forward to coming back to stay with Siobain and Chris. What wonderful people with a wonderful home.

We had the most enjoyable adventure based from Siobain and Chris's lovely, beautifully decorated home. My daughter and I loved the spacious 2nd floor, the beautiful big bathroom and comfortable beds. Most of all we were priviliged to meet new friends and the sweetest dog ever! We walked all over Baltimore and D.C. with ease and use of public transportation. The house and rooms were immaculate and had the coolest artwork. Chris and Sobain were perfect hosts. We will come back for sure!!

Chris and Siobain were amazing! They are very relaxed and make you feel at home in their beautiful three story house. Entire second floor was all ours and right next to Canton square. One of the best stays ever at an Airbnb, if not the best!! If you don't stay here you are missing out!

Hi there,
My husband and I are living in Canton- Baltimore, MD. I am a Registered Nurse and work at the Health Department in their TB/HIV division. My husband is in Sales and works in soil aggregates with a focus on green roofs. He is also in the Towsontowne Rotary Club- which has allowed us to host nationals from several countries and helped encourage our travels abroad. We spent 3 weeks in Nepal with his Rotary group after they had sponsored an ambulance to a local Nepalese hospital.
We both have a passion for traveling and spent our honeymoon un Africa- trekking in Rwanda with the mountain gorillas, touring through the Serengeti and chilled out after in Zanzibar. Between the 2 of us- we have been to all the continents- and are always looking forward to our next trip.
We were introduced to airbnb years ago and have taken advantage of it by traveling and staying with hosts and now hosting people in our home as well. We have met great people from all around the world and look forward to meeting you as well.
