Welcome to Village Suisse! The Zurich is a beautiful semi-detached chalet with a high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Located just next to the Val-David Regional park, it is nestled in the trees with a shaded (trees) south-facing balcony.

Please note: Taxes not included.

The space

Welcome to the Zurich and the Village Suisse. This is a listing for the left side of our rustic duplex (semi-detached) Swiss chalet (the Zurich). It is perfect for families and groups of friends. (best for a maximum of 4 adults + 3 kids).

Our 60 year old rustic chalets is made entirely of wood/stone and is equipped with everything you need to feel right at home (flat screen tv, wood burning fireplace, high-speed wifi, cable, dvd and more!)

The Zurich has 2 closed bedrooms (one double, one queen) and an upstairs loft with 3 single beds. Please take note that the stairs to the loft are very steep (more like a ladder).

There is an (locked) interior communicating door between the Zurich and the Genève. (sound-proofing is very good between the 2 units, but NOT appropriate for parties/loud music).

The door can be unlocked to make one large chalet for larger groups if you choose to rent both sides of the unit.

Please see our other listings if you wish to rent the entire duplex (max 14 people for the entire Zurich Genève Chalet Duplex.)

Please note that the PRICE in this ad is for rental one separate unit (the Zurich)

Le Village Suisse (winner of the Grand Prize for Tourism Laurentians in 2010 & 2011) is a small family-run cottage resort in the heart of the Laurentian village of Val-David. My name is Diana and my husband Gino and I have 9 little swiss chalets on 2 acres of land in the village of Val-David. We look forward to welcoming you!

Guest access

To find our front desk, look for the red Village Suisse sign on your left after the Sapinière and Condor intersection. Make a left and you will see our Réception on the lower floor of the first chalet on your left as you enter the parking.

You'll have access to the left side unit (Le Zurich) of our rustic Swiss Chalet duplex as well as our entire site.

You'll enjoy the pool, hot-tub (year round) and lake as well as our pedal boats for free in the warmer months. We also have a few bikes (all ages) for rent.

We have a small common area, under chalet 3 (le Davos) where you will find a washer/dryer, extensive dvd collection (over 100 options), small library and jigsaw puzzles. All are available for you to use/borrow free of charge.

You will also receive a free pass to the Regional Park where you can enjoy different sports and activities depending on the season (walking, biking, rock climbing, bird watching, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and more.) Bring your own equipment or rent it at the Regional park which is right next door.

In summer take out a pedal boat on the lake, fish, swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub, explore the Regional Park (hiking, biking, rock climbing), and don't forget the little village of Val-David (ice cream, restaurants, market, grocery, etc) which is just a 5 minute walk.

In winter our chalets are ski in, ski out! Over 160km of groomed cross-country ski trails, 30km of snowshoeing trails (dogs welcome!), 2 sledding runs, 3 skating rinks and the cute little village of Val-David...all just steps from our chalets. Downhill skiing is just 2km away.

Interaction with guests

Our front desk staff will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your chalet or activities in and around Val-David.

We are open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 5pm.
10-7pm on Fridays
9-5pm on Saturdays.

We also have a 24 hour toll free number for emergencies.

My husband, Gino and I live a few minutes away and we visit and take care of our property on a daily basis.

Other things to note

Please note that taxes are NOT INCLUDED in the quoted price. Taxes: 3.5% lodging tax, 5% GST, 9.5% QST are payable on arrival. Thank you!

Minimum stay of 2 nights, 3 nights for holiday weekends.

All linens and bath towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels for the pool, spa or lake as the chlorine and sand make our towels and equipment age prematurely.

Our kitchens are fully equipped so you only need to plan for your food. If you don't feel like packing everything in your cooler, there is a great grocery store (Metro Dufresne) minutes away where you can stock up on what you need. There are also many fantastic restaurants, café's and bars for you to discover in Val-David. Be sure to check out our guidebook!

The place is located in such a quaint neighbourhood. The site is fantastic and the chalet was clean and had everything you need. The stairs are very steep so make sure you're a climber! They were not ideal with a small baby. overall I would recommend this chalet and return!
