Great Master Bedroom suite with tempurpedic king size bed, twin bed, two sky lights (art glass covers one of a rendition of the famous Maxwell Parrish's Ecstasy), private full bathroom, small table and chair for laptop, lovely 75 year old paneling, 55 inch flat screen TV, other chairs for guests or lounging to watch TV or read, small refrigeration, microwave and Keurig coffee pot and a great deck with table, chairs and umbrella for eating, dart board or sit and gaze at the moon and stars.
The space has a cathedral ceiling with two sky lights - one has a one of a kind art glass piece covering it or it can be left open to see the sky while lying in bed. This is a unique quite large space with a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. The vintage and antique pieces make it special.
There is also a quite large deck just outside the sliding glass doors to a table, chairs and umbrella. There is also a dart board if you like to partake.
Interaction with guests
Bruce and Kathleen will be available always unless out of town, then a very dependable and knowledgeable individual will be on call.
Other things to note
This room is on the second floor and very private. You may want to take the small "cute vintage bedroom" with a single bed next to it and have the entire floor at an extremely reasonable rate.
A hot tub is available upon request for an additional $25 per day at your own risk. We will ask you to sign a document that you take full responsibility for its use.
Please do not smoke in the house (only out on the deck and asktrays are available upon request), no animals and please be courteous and quiet between the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am.
Bruce and Kathleen are lifelong residents of Maryland and wants to share their home in Rockville, Maryland to others who want to enjoy Rockville and the Washington, DC metro area.
Firstly, Bruce is a lifelong bachelor, high school and college math educator, insurance broker and networker. He is a musician (guitar, harmonica, and Saxophone) and enjoys nothing more than entertaining others. His love of all music is a passion and his knowledge about music, lyrics, and memory of songs and singers is amazing. Bruce was a semi-pro soccer player and cannot get enough sports (professional and college) on TV or live. These are passions that Bruce cannot live without!! By the way, Bruce is one of the funniest and nicest person you could ever encounter. He has never met a stranger and loves his family immensely.
Kathleen is a retired Federal Government (Civil Servant) and worked as a Grants Management Officer for many, many years. She was widowed over 10 years ago and has one lovely daughter, fabulous son in law and three of the most amazing and beautiful granddaughters on earth (somewhat biased). She has also been an antique dealer and collected antique advertising, country/primitive furniture (painted), vintage kitchen pieces, coke machines, a 1953 Seeburg jukebox and antique jewelry for over 40 years. There is no need for a psychiatrist or psychologist because all that she requires is to jump in her 1976 Triumph TR6 that she has owned for over 20 years and take it for a spin and almost immediately, all her troubles are gone. It is that much fun.
We enjoy working in our homes in Montgomery County, Maryland which includes a home in Germantown, MD, decorating, gardening, movies, entertaining and having family and friends visit. We also enjoy the Atlantic Ocean (3 1/2 hours away) which is a real treat as well as the mountains (1 hour away).
We love traveling and have been to many resorts/countries in the US and Europe.
Our motto is "you can count on our word, because our word is our bond and means everything in life!"
We are also committed to making each of our guests stay at our home in Rockville a special one. We try very hard to be as attentive as possible to your needs, but not intrusive. We have a lovely home that in a convenient location, interesting, and quite comfortable as you can see in the listings.
