What a great stay at Maroela Cottage, Kozette very responsive and helpful. Definitely would return and recommend for anyone visiting Mabula Game Reserve. The house is secluded, spacious and private more than what we expected. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A Big Thank You!

Maroela Cottage was everything we wanted, and more! The house is much larger than it appears in pictures and is well furnished for a weekend away in the bush. We had a private game drive with Frank, which is a must! I will definitely be returning for other weekends away with friends.

We had such an amazing time at this cottage. The views were spectacular, the rooms were so clean and beds freshly made. The fire pit by the pool was used every night and was so relaxing in the comfortable chairs around the fire. We had some friendly warthogs visit us each day. The cottage was equipped with everything you needed. Thank you for a lovely relaxing break away!

We loved our stay! The house is away from other timeshare houses, so you feel alone and comfortable in the bush. The house had everything you need for a comfortable group of friends or family stay. We enjoyed the spa facilities at the main lodge and made use of Frank for a private game drive. So peaceful, so lovely! Definitely returning

This "cottage" is really a large home with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. While I would not describe this as a lavish, upscale place, it is well equipped for comfort with large couches, pillows and throw blankets. It feels like a family holiday home. It has most of the essentials but bring your own soap. It has a true bush vibe and is located at the end of a long narrow dirt driveway. We had a fire every night in the fire pit and enjoyed wine on the huge covered porch. For those not familiar with the private game reserve Mabula in which it is located, the setting is amazing. The house is private yet only a 7+/- minute drive to the lodge where one can enjoy a lovely reasonably priced meal. The town of Bela Bela where one can find a large grocery store is about 30 minutes drive although the little Superette near the lodge has some basics like bread, butter, meat, just a few vegetables, beer, wine and snacks. It also sells firewood. Prices are significantly higher than the Bela Bela markets. Given the wild animals in the area walking outside the boundaries of the property is discouraged. We organized three game drives with Frank for 600 SAR each 3 hour drive. He has been at Mabula for decades and took to places we have never been to in the 5 previous visits to Mabula. I would definitely recommend it and feel it is a good value.

We had a really lovely weekend at Maroela Cottage. There is plenty to keep the whole family occupied, from quiet reading space to private game drives. The house has all you could possibly need for a relaxing bush stay, and we would definitely recommenced it!
