The neighbourhood

Ever dreamed of waking up in the heart of the old neighborhood of Trastevere, waking as the sun rises and sitting in the middle of Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere sipping your coffee at one of the local cafes just as the nightlife shifts to it’s daily routine? We offer you the possibility to live as a local in the center of this area just a few steps from the lovely Gianicolo, one of the best views of the city, facing the whole of the eternal city and feeling it’s glory. The whole place is filled with folklore, cheerful Romans, typical restaurants rather than the nearby touristic center, that is also reachable in 10 minutes by foot just on the other side of the Tiber. You can feel the whole history of the city that is over 2000 years old city just by crossing the nearby Ponte Sisto, also famous for it is one of the main gathering places for young people at night time for it brings from Trastevere to Campo dei Fiori.

Gabriel's associate, Barbara, was extremely helpful in making sure the apartment met our needs, including bringing us washing detergent during our stay. She sat with us and gave us great advice as to the location, and local sites to visit, and incredible restaurants nearby. The apartment was plenty spacious for two, and we were able to experience the neighborhood by being right in the middle of it. There is certainly noise during the night due to its proximity to bars and restaurants, but well worth wearing earplugs to be within minutes of many fantastic eateries. Well situated by the river for exploring Rome. We felt safe and secure in this lovely space.

great apartment, great amenities. The location is great, but the bar in front of us was really loud. We didn't mind as we came back late ourselves, but for someone who minds noise, it might be a problem. Otherwise, great place to stay and if we come back, we would definitely try to stay there again.

Hi Ayda, thanks a lot for your review and to have chosen my place for your stay in Rome. I'm sorry for the noisy caused by the bar but I'm also happy to know that it's not been a problem for you and you enjoyed your stay anyway. I really hope to host you again because you have really been a great guest. Take care. Cheers Gabriel

The place is centrally located. It is very well decorated and has a nice layout. Great amenities and additions. The shower pressure was good, there was a nice washer, a great espresso machine, tea, and lots of dish ware. The kitchen is great if you plan on fixing food for yourself. However, as it is centrally located - it can be very noisy. The place is tucked into a small street but there is still a bar across the street. It wasn't a huge problem for us since we came home late most nights. But if you're planning on early nights in, falling asleep might be an issue.

Great apartment! A great neighborhood that's not overrun with crowds, but with many great restaurants and bars to visit. Walking distance to everything in Rome and wonderfully decorated!

Apartment was up to our expectation, clean, comfortable, ideal for 2 people. Barbra met us upon arrival very friendly, gave us detailed information about lodging and neighbourhood. There are plenty of cafe and restaurants just around the corner. All spots we wanted to go in Rome to were easily accessible by foot. So, location of apartment is perfect. The only thing that upset us was noise at nights on the street that apartment faces . It was practically impossible to sleep.

Amazing apartment in the heart of one of the coziest neighbourhoods in Rome. Close to a square where you can walk, eat and listen to live music every evening and walking distance to major sights like Vatican, Coliseum and Forum. Try not to drive as the streets of old Rome are pretty tight :) The place is very cool and authentic and Gabriel was the most welcoming host. Thanks for having us!

Hi, I'm Gabriel,
Born and raised in Italy, studied in Spain and than moved to New York for business. It's through those experiences that I've loved travelling and understood the necessities of a local and a tourist. From the smallest comforts to the main needs. That's why I do my best to let you live a great experience!
On my leasure time I love to practice sports such as Tennis and Soccer and during the summer time sailing and Kyte surf. I like to cook as well but my real hobby is travelling.
I roam around the city with my sky blue vespa and when it rains with the Smart.
I work for an amazing company called Sweet Inn, which provides fantastic vacation apartments in Rome – spacious, stylish and perfectly located - with all the services and comfort of a hotel. Oh, and there’s also a Sweet Inn Lobby located in the city center where my team and myself will cater to your every need and make sure you experience the best of the city during your stay..Even away from home, you will feel at home.
I’ll personally wait for you at your apartment to welcome you and to hand you the keys. I’m excited to host you in this wonderful city that I love and know so well, and to share with you the trendiest spots around.

I am Gabriel and I’m looking forward to hosting you ;)
