Our experience at this delightful farm house was perfect. Anne and her husband Jean-Francoise were lovely people who were warm and engaging with us from our very first day. We were instantly made feel welcome and shown around the property. The place itself is idyllic. It's beautifully styled and the attention to detail in the surrounding gardens and common areas is top class. You feel transported to an unspoilt picturesque retreat and instantly you feel relaxed and a part of the community. Don't miss breakfast - it's amazing. Fresh seasonal fruit from the garden and homemade jams are really something special. It was always a great start to the day. The farm house is perfectly located in the Loire amongst rolling fields lined with sunflowers, vineyards and cobblestoned fence lines. This is a perfect spot for a couple or to bring a family. Our room was well appointed, very comfortable and kept to the French farm house style that was evident throughout the property. We had a great stay that was relaxing and welcoming and we would certainly recommend this property to all. Well done Anne and Jean-Francoise!

We were thrilled to discover this magical environment created by Anne! Every detail was special, the room was tasteful and the bed was among the most comfortable of any we slept in across Europe. Anne is a professional at making her guests feel at home, and all three of us agreed it had been one of the very bests nights of the trip. Anne provided a superb breakfast, and was generally one of the most gracious and friendly hosts. The grounds themselves are magical, with sweeping vistas over the Loire Valley. We would love to return for a longer stay! Anne left nothing to chance and our stay was incredible. Her home made jams and jellys were worth the stay all alone! :-)

Jean-François and Anne have gone out of their way to make us feel more than comfortable. We had some rather special needs and they were quick to adjust beyond our expectations. Breakfast will never be the same without Anne's tomato confiture and we'll remember her courgette gratin for many days to come. The marmalade made from Sevilla's oranges was another breakfast winner, as was the greek yoghurt and honey. The red wine produced by the family is deep and rich in taste and to be honest better than what we've been served in restaurants. The warmth of having our coffee on the lawn, catching the autumn sunshine, quietly reading a book, was only surpassed by our hosts' kindness. We can highly, highly recommend your stay at La Baumoderie. On a practical note, please be aware La Baumoderie has a total of 2 rooms available. The one that is advertised here is the suite. The suite can host up to 4 people. 2 persons in a queen size bed (140) en 2 on a large sofa bed, with a shared bath room. The main picture here shows the communal breakfast/dining room. Consider searching the other room (large garden room) that suits 2 people (large kingsize bed and slightly more spacious shower room) if you are a couple.

We had a vey nice stay at this quaint farmhouse cottage. We stayed in a spacious 2 room suite on the second floor. It was clean, had character and great Internet. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of home-made jams for the baguettes and croissants. If I'm in the area again I will gladly come back.
