Location: Trastevere is an old and typically Roman neighborhood situated in the heart of Rome. The most appealing trait of the locale is its character: the popular Roman atmosphere with a cosmopolitan and modern flavor. While strolling along these tiny, medieval streets, you can palpably feel its unique athmosphere! We recommend a drink in the Piazza of Santa Maria in Trastevere, a roman lunch at the restaurant ‘Checco il carettiere‘, and an aperitif at ‘Freni e frizioni‘.

The neighborhood and location is fantastic. Please note this is a rental service, a random guy comes to meet you. That being said the company was very nice, we came later than expected given the horrible traffic. The apartment is amazing, it's all about the roof top with spectacular view and outdoor shower. There is no air conditioning, which in the summer I could imagine it being very stuffy and hot. Also, there is no wi-fi which we didn't realize until we got there. And its on the top floor I think of a 4th floor walk up and there are stairs in the apartment so if you have bad knees or get tired... this is not the place for you. Full size bed on the firmer side but not uncomfortable. Cable is all German TV, we preferred watching Italian TV but who watches TV when in Rome, not a deal breaker. Overall, it's a one of kind apartment and worth all the cons, as long as you know what you're getting. My husband and I had a great time and would recommend it to our friends.

We arrived quite late, and there was some hassle checking in as we the contact number we were given was not that of who was checking us in and therefore we were left in the blue slightly, having to assume we were in the right area. However, after meeting our host we were happy - he was very friendly and helpful. Just make sure you have the numbers of everybody involved as this was our main problem during our stay. The apartment itself is lovely! Very homely, and safe! It's small though, especially the kitchen - don't think you will be making any nonna's meals as it is very limited. But the space was lovely - the beds comfy, the shower always warm. Although no aircon so prepare yourself for a very sweaty sleep - we managed to find a fan to cool us down slightly. The neighbourhood is amazing - so many amazing, authentic places to go and do! It was in a prime location for walking everywhere too! We hardly ever wanted to leave the little area we were in because it was so lovely! It was helpful being able to leave luggage in their storage unit on the last day too - however, this is where we found problems with contact and communication. That being said, despite the minor problems we loved our stay and would definitely come to stay in this apartment again!

Great place. Very central with an interesting view of the city. The roof terrace is bigger than it looks in the photo. Really enjoyed the stay. Lorenzo was very communicative and accommodating. Would certainly recommend.

Had an amazing time in Rome and in this apartment. The terrace is absolutely brilliant for chilling out between long walks around central Rome. The house is a perfect size for a couple and the layout is great. The location is ideal for walking to all of the sights and there are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby to choose from. I would definitely recommend. Lorenzo and his team were very useful and I would certainly use them again.

This place is amazing! The terrace on the roof is a great place to have breakfast in the morning or sit in the evening and watch the sunset. The neighborhood is very lively with great restaurants all around. The only trouble we had was that the laundry at the apartment was broken when we arrived, so you may want to ask if it has been repaired if you are expecting to do a wash.

Trastevere was a great location for our 15 days in Rome. This property is managed by Lorenzo’s company, I highly recommend booking the car service with Lorenzo. The service is door to door so you won’t be pulling your rolling bags on the cobblestone. We were met promptly by Honey with the keys to the apartment. The location and the terrace are spectacular. Truly stunning views. In addition, having an outdoor shower was great to use during the hot, sunny afternoon. The location was ideal with many shops and restaurants all in easy walking distance. Vicolo del Cinque is a heavily walked street and very festive at night. But don’t worry, the apartment is quiet. Unfortunately, those are the only highlights to this property. The first disappointment was finding a hypodermic needle on the top shelf of the medicine cabinet. While it was unused and still in its sterile wrapping, it did not make any sense to why the cleaners would not remove this from the prior guests’ stay. The kitchen is honestly not a proper kitchen. The layout is simply poor. Try making coffee in the morning and you will immediately know how inadequate this kitchen is. The kitchen seems to be outfitted from a really bad stateside garage sale. Not practical to cook just one meal during our 15 day stay. Our running joke about the kitchen was having only one dish towel to be found in the apartment then after the first cleaning it was taken away. Additionally, there were several burned out light bulbs. One being on the wall at top of the stairs so we shifted a bulb from a floor lamp to the top of the stairs. Remember there are no hand railings so having the light on at night is more about safety than ambiance. Finally we were told that there is a clothes washer. It was broken. We expected to do laundry at night but had to take a day out of our travel schedule to go to a laundromat. In working with Lorenzo, he was very responsive to my questions and his company is professionally managed. One question to ask is if and when there will be any cleaning during your stay. We were not told that they would clean the apartment twice during our stay. We assumed the cleaning would be done after our stay. While we were surprised to come back in the afternoon to find our the apartment tidy up, it was more disconcerting to not know in advance the cleaning schedule. In addition, what I find unacceptable was that our personal items inside the medicine cabinet were rearranged during the second cleaning. I can’t find a reason to touch personal effects inside the medicine cabinet during a guests’ stay. Nonetheless, overall impression of Lorenzo and his company are favorable. In summary, we would not return to this property. Instead, we would look at other properties that Lorenzo’s company has to offer.

Response from Lorenzo:
Dear Jerry, thank you so much writing such a long and detailed review. The points you bring up about the lights and the kitchen are super important. I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't have the chance to fix these problems during your stay, as nothing was communicated to me. Buying new kitchenware/tableware/pots/pans/etc was an day thing to do and Mr. Honey wouldn't done it in a second. Same goes for the changing of the bulb and calling a plumber for the washing machine (which up until after your stay, I didn't know was't working). I really really hope that I'll have the chance to make it up to you in another apartment on another trip. I apologize for not giving you a 100% pleasurable stay. I'll make sure that everything is looked after ASAP on this apartment. Again, thank you for being honest and so detailed! Warm regards, Lorenzo
