We only had 1 night at Lynda's and Eric's but we can already say: this is one of the best stays in Scotland. We felt very well taken care of and the house is just lovely. Harris Tweed all over the place and an ever lasting scent of delicious bakery goods. Breakfast was very good (Lynda is an ace with Brownies, Muffins and Eggs) and Eric provided us with a lot of local tips and options for the rest of our road trip. All our hosts in Scotland have been very helpful and this again felt very much like visiting family abroad. Can't recommend them enough.

A true home away from home with a huge, happy welcome! Greeted with big smiles, a roaring fire, tea and cake... my wife-to-be was snoozing on the sofa with a blanket within 10 minutes. The room was big with nice views, a modern bathroom and great shower! Independent electric blankets for each side of the bed and other little treats too! Home cooked breakfast was great with the bonus of being eaten next to another log fire and after breakfast Lynda and Eric went out of their way to give us advice on what to do with our day - where to find red squirrels and where to eat etc. We left with heavy hearts and full stomachs! There's something very special about this place...

Response from Lynda:
You guys were great, and thanks for the big red, it wasn't required, but will go down nicely one night at the fire outside. For you big day, just enjoy it, as its yr day no one else's. Drop in any time, you never know what's in the cake tins

There is something very nice about greeting folks for the first time, and see their face light up when they enter our home. Its old, its has history, it has character and it is just a friendly place to rest and recover from travels. Of course what is even better is when I put the breakfast in front of my guests, and their eyes twinkle with delight!
The other passion, apart from gardening, in my life is sewing. I undertake commissions, crafting and all sorts of products from Harris Tweed. You can enjoy this iconic fabric in our home and feel how special it is, with out it overpowering everything else.
