Edward communicated with me the week prior to arrival to insure a smooth check in. The place is exactly as described. If you are looking for absolute privacy and wilderness, this is the place for you. We took our boat and trailered to Hubbard Lake daily. Well worth the drive to t…

You can expect a very quiet, rural getaway with a scenic view. Not far from the cottage is a river with access. Edward is a great hostess who offers many tips and recommendations of what to do and see!

Thank you for your constructive thoughts. I appreciate them and I am amazed that you saw so much wildlife. You must be very stealth as typically you need to be very quiet to be so fortunate.

Ed's place was the perfect, remote getaway! Ed was very quick to respond with communication and coordinating meet up times to guide us back to the property (approximately a 15 minute drive on a private, 2 track road). Ed had canoes ready and available to rent, which we highly rec…

Edward's cabin is very remote. It was wonderful to be away from any man-made noise. We enjoyed our time spent on the deck just "being". We truly appreciate that we were able to bring our dog and we put some miles in hiking. The trees on the property are so majestic. The sound of…

Ed's cabin is in a magical setting. The description is accurate. The cabin is fully stocked, secluded, and charmingly rustic. If you enjoy viewing wildlife this is the place for you. There were a few minor mechanical glitches that didn't affect our stay, but Ed was very fast to r…

Response from Edward:
Thank you Caleb! Air conditioners were sold out at local appliance store during the oppressive heat wave, but an appropriate one for the cabin has been back ordered and the mechanical issue (tripping inverter) will be immediately repaired or replaced now the supplier reopened following the weekend. As for the flies, a fogger has been procured for management and guests’ sparing use, if the mosquitoes or bugs in June are bothersome. I perhaps have been outside too long as I can actually ignore them.

I am a lawyer who truly enjoys meeting new people and sharing interesting tips regarding great activities in area. I will leave guests entirely alone, unless they request my assistance or other available services, in which case I am more than happy to be of service.
