Majla and Marco were absolutely amazing hosts. We felt as if we were visiting friends that we hadn't seen in ages. They are both so welcoming and genuine. The farmhouse is absolutely gorgeous and the garden apartment is perfect! Kitchen, dining table, bedroom area, bathroom and washing machine - what else do you need? A view of Florence from the seating deck? You got it! When we come back to Italy, we will for sure be staying with Majla again, hopefully in her watchtower apartment, which was built in the 1100s!

What a cozy place to spend a few nights! The minihouse has beautiful views, and being outside of Florence allowed us to unplug and appreciate the beauty of Tuscany. We were supposed to have a rental car which would have helped us to explore other Tuscan towns. Instead we ended up taking the bus to Florence each day (very easy! pickup is at the bottom of the driveway and bus station is a block from Firenze SMN).

It was my first ever time in Italy, and I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It's a great location, as it has such an incredible landscape surrounding the local town for walking and exploring by foot, yet Florence is so easy to get to. Just the right balance of being secluded yet to close to a major city. The property is perfect for a romantic getaway. Spacious, with great facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, shower, washing machine etc. the views from inside and out of the property are amazing. The property is well heated for the winter months, so its perfect any time of year. The hosts are very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble.

Majla was a fantastic host, all communication before my trip was quick and helpful and during my stay she was always there to help with my questions. I would also recommend theyre cooking lesson, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The house is exactly as described, very clean and comfortable and has everything you might need. Plus it's in the most wonderful setting, you won't be disappointed, I certainly wasn't.

House was beautiful, and so peaceful. Majla was the perfect hostess, she greeted us when we arrived and even helped to park our car. The bed was comfortable and I was grateful for the washing machine in the unit. Hanging my clothes out in the clean air to dry....amazing! Majla went above and beyond when my partner was having a medical issue. I cannot express how kind and caring she was during this episode. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Tuscany, this is the place!

We had a great week staying at Majla little house. Amazing view, very calm neighborhood, not far from Firenze. We also really enjoyed the bucher and the cheesemonger near the house. We didn't see Majla had to our busy Schedule.

We absolutely loved our stay at the minihouse! It's hands down one of the most comfortable, easy, enjoyable stays we've ever had! The minihouse is fully equipped with everything you need and more. The small town is a 2 minute walk down the road and the cappuccino and the local butchers are world class. The views from both front and back decks, the peaceful environment, the proximity to amazing wineries and Majla's kind hospitality make this accommodation a must!

Majla Francesca User ProfileMajla Francesca is a superhost.

My children are the 6th generation in this medieval villa, and when our budget doesn't allow us to travel, we like a little bit of the world to come to us. My grandfather - a personal hero of mine - hid and saved many lives (often complete strangers, and foreigners), from the fury of the Fascists and Nazis during WW2, in the many nooks and crannies of this old home; and this has created in his heirs a tradition of opening this home to strangers.
I am more hospitable than impeccable...
I recently wrote a book about happiness.
My husband Marco is a retired professional yachtsman, and now a talented and passionate cook.
